Clean air zones are only required when air pollution levels get well above legal limits for a sustained period of time. I think it's worrying that there are so many of them for that reason. I believe the national government requirement i for them to start by charging HGVs, and if air pollution levels can be brought back under legal limits by that, there's no requirement to charge private cars - but some places locally choose to do that anyway to reduce pollution level further. An inconvenience, yes, and a nuisance when you're first trying to work out if you need to pay, but in my opinion a worthwhile one - so many health problems caused by air pollution near busy roads, and so often the poorest people hit worst. I do think some of the signs could be clearer though!
Glad you had a lovely retreat KK 😊😊6 -
Done the financial updates after the London trip etc. Jeepers that meal was expensive …. 😢
Tilly-tidies done - a further £2.29 moved across to savings 😊
Getting my focus back. Have made a vegan bolognese batch for the freezer today along with a new work breakfast option (oats with pineapple, desiccated coconut and coconut milk - honestly it tastes better than it sounds! 😉😊) and am ready to take pre-prepared food into work tomorrow for lunch as well.I have one more spendy thing to do before next payday - I have promised to pay for a meal for my apprentice for finally passing his course! That will probably be next week and should be fun. Fortunately he doesn’t drink alcohol so I will be saved that cost! 😉
Managed to get out for a couple of hours this afternoon and do some more bindweed bashing. There will be more to do, but I have already done more this year than I have ever done before! 👏👍💪 I must do some seed sowing this week!!Quite sore physically after the TRE and vocalising sessions yesterday. Hoping I wake feeling less beaten up tomorrow for going back to work! 😉

I have sent a polite complaint to LandofLake to tell them that one of the reusable food bags I bought from them is completely unsealed along the full length on one side on the top of the bag. I only noticed after I had filled it with bolognese this afternoon …. 🙄 They were very good with my last complaint and gave me a new item without debate. It will be interesting to see what they do when there is an issue on one of a set of items.KKAs at 15.08.25:

LandofLake have emailed me to let me know that they are sending out a full set of new bags 😊 I am well chuffed.Mr KK was kind tonight and cooked tea (it was a chop for him so a bit visceral for me) whilst I played in the potting shed. Sowed peas and runner beans (two type of the former for fun and three of the latter as I had some part packets to use up) and pitted on some verbascum and aster seedlings 😊

NSD today 😊
8.4K steps 😊Crazy busy day again but actually finished one job. 😊Took a fairly hefty mauling (along with the rest of the site management team) from the global sales team, which privilege also made me late leaving work and so hit loads of traffic! 🙄 Bah.Sorting lunch, breakfast, snacks etc for tomorrow and then will have a shower and try some TRE on my own for the first time. Crossing my fingers I can do it on my own ….
