Just catching up, yes you might have coped better with the idiots at the old job - but - and I think this is worth considering - if you had coped better with them you could still be there. So every day you would have an awful commute, would be coping with idiots and an awful commute back. Instead, you have a very short drive, love the people you work with and enjoy the job. Those are huge wins you would have missed if medication had helped you "cope" with idiots. Serious reframe required here KK - said with much love - but please reframe
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!6 -
Yes, all of this is correct and you are right.Watty1 said:Just catching up, yes you might have coped better with the idiots at the old job - but - and I think this is worth considering - if you had coped better with them you could still be there. I appreciate your input.
But ... I think I need some time for processing this, as the way they 'offloaded me' from my old job was just awful, causing me significant emotional / psychological damage that I am still recovering from and the drop in salary and especially the matched pension contributions has significantly affected my ability to OP and finish working earlier than SPA ... It makes me feel very trapped at times.
I will process this and I will reframe honest!
I need to 'digest it' a bit more first. I suspect it doesn't help that the medical profession have let me down, shrugged me off before (one of the reasons I don't have children) and it's stirring up some of that misery as well.

It’s turned quite chilly here - closed the window in the ceiling of the conservatory for the first time in about three months this evening! I also turned on the electric circuit on the dual fuel radiator in the bathroom. I’m hoping with it being cooler, I will be a bit more functional this weekend and have been collating a ridiculously ambitious list of things to do! 😉😂 There will be reading and crocheting mixed in there too … 😊
Minor MSE thing: furtled about in the kitchen freezer and pulled out a part baked roll for lunch tomorrow and hard boiled three eggs for our lunches (means I won’t be buying HB eggs tomorrow - yes, I occasionally do that when I am horribly pressed for time). Gave the cress box a good watering so it will be fresh and crisp tomorrow for my eggy sandwich 😊
Finished another novel - a very engaging and absorbing one about witches and their wild rebellion… loved it 😉🤩

Satisfying half day in work - got my new starter up to speed on all the H&S that needs doing - he’s gonna be busy! 😉😊
I may, accidentally on purpose, have wandered through the new local wool shop in my way home to pick some more cheap acrylic DK yarn in yellow, orange and purple for granny squares this weekend … 😉 I may also have shown the proprietress a picture of my first proper granny square - she was very encouraging! 😂😊
Then I became sensible again:
- Two loads of my washing all done and line dried. Just need to put it away.- Followed up with Ph0x water what the issue is with my subscription payment (I had an email from them) - according to them there isn’t an issue, but the email looks to have come from them …? 🤔 Maybe they’ve been hacked? I didn’t click on the link in the email (went straight to the chat function in their website), so hopefully I should be okay.- Did a long outstanding OAT: Completely stripped and deep cleaned the windowsill and internal window behind the sink in the kitchen, collecting seeds from heads I’d been drying there, wrestling MANY cobwebs and giving the radio that lives there a good scrub!
- Put some peas to soak for sprouted peas 😊
- Made some burger relish for dinner tonight with HG shallots 😊👏
- Reattached the ends of the curtains on the small window in my bedroom (that’s another job that’s been outstanding for a very long time!).
- Removed and recycled dead magazines from my bedroom
- Cleaned the window and the big mirror in my bedroom
Not bad going for an afternoon 😊
