Thanks @beanielou, @skint_spice and @PennysIntoPounds 😊❤️
The dress is swishy to wear - kind of fun and good to have at least one item that is semi formal. I am more my mother’s daughter than I would really like to acknowledge… 😉

No win on the PBs …. Ah well, that would be too easy! 😉
Complicated, busy, tiring work day ….
Picked lettuce from the greenhouse and the first strawberries of the year from the veggie patch 😊 Recorded them in my produce tracker. 👏
Caught up on my missing row of knitting from yesterday.
Mr KK’s accountant has finally resurfaced and will send the tax PDFs to MA on Thursday morning.
Bathroom delivery booked for Friday, 3.30pm.Boiled two eggs for breakfast and fried off some halloumi for lunch tomorrow whilst throwing tea around.Torrential rain here this evening so I am relaxing on the sofa with a clear conscience. I think last night’s gardening was just a bit too much for me.KKAs at 15.11.25:

Ah there's nothing like a snuggly read while it's torrentials outside 😊
That is a very productive day even without a complex work day!
I hope you dont mind me saying, but you have been going great guns since the funeral and I expect a lot of that is rediverted energy as well as relief at everything having gone as well as these things can, but don't forget you're mentally and physically owed a wee bit of time for everything to catch up with you, so please give yourself permission to be thoroughly lazy when your body or mind tell you it's needed x1 -
Love the purple of your knitting. I'd want to keep that for myself it looks gorgeous.
Glad your time with your friend went better than expected.
Good that Mr KK's accountant is going to resolve the paperwork. Good luck with the raise for Mr KK too. Happy anniversary.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

love maxi dresses and the colour of yours is lovely
that whole having to figure out a top with a skirt or trousers never happens in my life!
I must admit to an entire wardrobe of fabulous dresses - many of which have been collected over the years at vintage shops, maybe 30% new reduced designer …
happy anniversary how lovely !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Ummmm … maybe it just looks productive and busy because I describe it in a lot of detail? After I posted last night I just sat on the sofa and finished a novel 😉🤷♀️PennysIntoPounds said:Ah there's nothing like a snuggly read while it's torrentials outside 😊

I’m quite tempted by that wool myself. Like I said, I never make things for myself. I am starting to think this should change …. 😉savingholmes said:Love the purple of your knitting. I'd want to keep that for myself it looks gorgeous.

I’m relieved that it did. But still find her intense. Thanks for the good wishes 😊
It’s interesting. I find I have a bit of a thing with clothes - I had years, and years, and years of being in debt (where for a long time I couldn’t actually afford to eat), followed by saving hard for a deposit, followed by big scary mortgage after buying at the top of what we could afford, where I just didn’t buy clothes for enjoyment at all, only for work or for practicality. It’s only recently that I have bought specific trousers for working in the garden rather than just using worn out jeans (the jeans are far less comfortable). I think maybe I should allow myself the ‘indulgence’ of buying one piece purely for the joy of it per year / season (depending on finances) … 🤔LadyWithAPlan said:I LOVE a swishy dress, I also

I never have much luck in charity or vintage shops - I’m quite broad across the top of my chest or shoulders, so it becomes difficult to find something that doesn’t make me look bulky on top and like I’m bursting out of things. I’m surprised you don’t find the same with all the weight training you do?

Definitely allow yourself some funds to invest in your wardrobe. It really can make a difference - as long as you manage to rein it in after.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
