    More Cmas planning:

best friend - art bits, can be simple but good quality stuff such as pads, pencils, erasers, plain canvases etc

    Father - stumped!

My team, have cheap ideas for all of them (including homegrown winter salad seedlings 😉) bar my new quality engineer and I hope that will come with getting to know him better.

This is starting to make me feel reassured 😊👍

Heading off now to sort my dad’s birthday present ready for posting on Saturday!

Had a good day today 😊 A NSD and I finished on time (i.e. early as I started early today) and got home before the traffic had built up too much 😊

Had enough energy when I got home tonight to get my dad’s presents and card wrapped ready for posting 👏

Also, spent a bit of time potting on seedlings of Honesty and black Kale before starting all the evening chores - very satisfying 😊❤️

Re apple scratters, no idea how much you are making but here in our village, with a huge glut of apples, I have stored some - bottled, wrapped in paper and stewed and stored in jars as though they were jam. I have considered hiring a scratter and juicer and having a Village apple/cider day but I'm not sure others here are as enthusiastic as me about using the bounty from the land
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

We give quite a lot of our fruit (apples, plums, rhubarb etc) away to my MiL and get jams and crumbles back! 😂😊👏

So, for the last couple of days I have been playing with Qmee. In 3 days, after a slow start, I have ‘earned’ £5.10, which is now in my PayPal account (can’t move it from there yet - Bah!).

Feeling really quite chuffed about this. Whilst we are slowly working our spends down, there are some relatively high costs in my budget that are unshiftable (my commute costs, mortgage, council tax etc.) in the short term, so I have been casting around for ways to increase my income. I can’t do things like matched betting (my maths is nowhere near good enough!) and I have been turned down for Prolifik twice now 🙄 but I seem to finding my stride on Qmee! Yaay! 😊💪👏🥳

My intention is that all monies from this will become OPs whilst I am still building up my savings as it will be funds I wouldn’t otherwise have had.

(Just need to sort out the PayPal transfer 🙄 had hoped to be telling you that I had made a little extra OP this morning!)

    Whoooo Hoooo!!! 🥳💪🤩👏

Had to link my Hfx current account to my PPal account to get the funds moved, and then move it to our joint NWide account and *then* make the OP …. but it’s done!

I am glowing with satisfaction at this! 😊❤️

Well done on Qmee 👍 I have used it in the past, but it's not one that's in my rotation at the moment. Have you tried One Poll? It's relatively painless and pays out to either PayPal or BACS once you reach £25. It was my #3 highest earner of the year when I tracked my earnings last year
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!
  • Don’t rule out MB there are lots of calculators and if you are logical and diligent in how you approach it it is great. I only did the initial offers and made about 2000 before I abandoned the idea (only did the no risk casino too as I am so risk averse)

Thanks TDQ - maybe I will put that on my list to look into more over Christmas. My head is too full atm 😊

No, I’ve not come across that one. I shall have a rummage! Thank you 😊

Father’s b/day present posted! 😊👏 Picked up some stamps at the same time to restock - lor but the new ones are ugly! I dare say I will get used to them in time (grumble, grumble …. 😉).

Beautiful albeit chilly day here. Washing is doing well on the line and am about to get into scruffs and do some chores! 😊
