On updating my signature I notice my decluttering record is woeful!!
I think it's probably a combination of failing to record what I have done and not actually doing enough ....<ahem>

Oh and I need to renew our house insurance. We had a lot of hassle to find a policy when we moved in here as it had the dreaded JKW!!
But, we are getting closer to it going - treatment chap came last Friday (hubby just happened to be home) and he says it is almost gone, but we still need to tell our insurers. The weird thing is, that we were totally upfront about the JKW when we first moved in here but it isn't referenced at all in the renewal .... The company is only open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday so I have to ring from work to get this sorted ..... <sigh> Ho Hum. I'd love to get it cheaper than £483.14 if we could .....

Talking to hubby about cancelling the window cleaner and buying kit of our own to do it. The equipment doesn’t look that expensive and we’d save £200 pa.

I have to say that windowcleaners are not my favourite people. I live a long way from any main road so the windows do not get dirty. Local ones want to come every fortnight. Which unless the birds have had a field day means I have no idea whether they have actually cleaned the windows or not. I do know that one I had a few years ago used to come once a fortnight & one they would clean the back & one the front. Local rip off merchants!

Hubby isn’t entirely convinced (so long as we actually did it, he said) but it’s not him paying this bill actually, it’s me! (Doesn’t come out of the joint account - for some weird historic reason, I pay it 🤷♀️Cancellation looms methinks …..

Every 2 months would be great & my local ones now only do it from the ground - no ladders. The last guy sold on his round to them, price increase ONLY 50%, yes only. Just 8 windows & 2 doors. £10 a licence to rpint money. They didn't look at all happy when I said no. I suspect the round seller had said I had them done when I didn't. So rip off merchants followed by rip off merchants. The daft thing is that if I saw one that I thought was genuine I would probably be daft enough to pay him fortnightly.

Our window cleaner uses a ladder and visits every 4 weeks and charges £9 for 13 windows. I was already impressed with him, he does a great job.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I think that might be quite incentivising for reducing my spending.
Your comment about reading A Hall's book led me to read other books by him including 'Money Magic' which sounds even woo-erbut I had a moment of revelation about myself last night on finishing it, that completely crash-landed on me! All about my childhood, how my parents communicated with me (didn't!) about money, controlled me partly through access to money, my isolation and emotional neglect and how that is still affecting my instinctive, sub-liminal, self-sabotaging approach to money that I continue to carry today ....
I'm not 'cured', but boy, do I understand it better now. Thank you!

I forgot to mention a win from a couple of weekends ago. The bathroom roller blind (plain cream) had become ‘excitingly’ mottled with mould / black marks. Historically we would have just bought a new one …. This time I took it in the garden, unrolled it over a plastic picnic table, hosed it down and scrubbed it with mould remover spray. Then left it in the sun 🌞
It’s worked really well and it seems to be staying clean too - so far 😊
I gave hubby the chapter about money types in Alvin Hall’s Money Magic to read last night. I thought he would just politely look at it and ignore it, but no, the book is upside down on the arm of the chair, looking like it is being read-read …. It will be interesting to see what he gets from it 😊❤️KKAs at 15.07.25:
