I do appreciate that you mean well but …. Mr KK lived with his mother before starting to live with me. When we moved in together he literally said to me, I don’t know what will need doing, you will have to tell me.savingholmes said:

And reading back over it has prompted me to remember that Mr KK’s washing needs folding ….Floors have become his job - in the house (vacuuming and infrequently mopping the kitchen floor) in the garden (mowing) and he cleans the hob. I clean the bathroom and the loo. He cooks c. three nights per week, I do the rest. He does all of the DIY around the house, I assist. He does truly vile jobs such as changing the filter in the kitchen extraction unit. He puts his washing on - I get it dry and fold it.We meal plan together and put the delivery away together. He cooks his own batches for the freezer as I don’t like handling raw meat too much. The one real imbalance is on the finances - I take the lead on all of that. It would be nice if he helped more on that. But we discuss it a lot more than we used to - he asks me questions where he wouldn’t have before.Overall, it’s a reasonable balance.KKAs at 15.10.25:

That seems like a well worked out solution on splitting the household responsibilities. I think when you mentioned HIS stuff needed folding my brain switched to mumsnet mode where everyone starts stomping on the nasty man taking advantage of the weak willed woman. I should have remembered that you are not weak willed and Mr KK is far from nasty. Sort of guy I'd actually say is a keeper.

No stirring and thank you for caring enough to challenge ❤️ I never (aim to anyway) react badly to challenge delivered with positive intent. I get it wrong at times on here too. Easy to miss context others expect to be common knowledge.Brie said:That seems like a well worked out solution on splitting the household responsibilities. Apologies if I stirred!!! (I do have form for this....)I just didn’t want Mr KK to be seen in that light - I mean I know you will never meet him so on one level it doesn’t matter, but he is a good guy and it didn’t sit well with me 😊😉

It’s crazy-mad busy in work atm …. but I’m keeping calm. Rather to my surprise. But I have been making concerted efforts on this. Must sustain this to continue to sleep and survive.
Mr KK cooked tonight so I have sown my onions ❤️ They are nicely snuggled up on a heating mat, under a sheet of clear plastic (3rd year of using 😊) with a timer set for the grow light above the seed trays 😊
I have also, finally, finished the before and after photos / presentation for my mother to show her the light improvement in our lounge thanks to her gift of windows. 😊
Still struggling with the surveys …. 🙄 Tiny scrap of TCB claimed yesterday.Had the barn dance in March tickets arrive tonight 😊
Also had a colleague in work ask me if I would be a guinea pig for his wife who is training in voice sound healing. Session booked for Sunday morning 😊KKAs at 15.10.25:
