I feel like I am getting my post covid mojo back!  😊

    So, plans for the weekend:

    -          Sign up to Tesco’s Christmas vouchers – its up to a 12% uplift and with the amount we spend with them we might well hit that and even if we only get to 6% it’s still better than my savings atm!  😉

    -          Need to lift and store my spuds and garlic – yes, I know the garlic is far too late …..  😉

    -          Clean my sad shallots – lifted both sets of shallots last weekend. One set cam up really clean and the other in really poor, muddy, messy condition. They have been drying in the conservatory so hopefully I can scruff them enough to make them usable in the kitchen now.

    -          Various standard washing tasks

    -          Tidy and clean two ‘corners’ in the kitchen (microwave corner and plate warmer corner) that are collecting detritus and junk. Add to my decluttering tracker.

    -          Shame-faced-ly creep into my local library with a bag of books I have had for months and months to return them and grovel for forgiveness and hopefully no fine! I want to start using the library again and these books date to the time when they weren’t fining people for late returns because it was in between covid lockdowns …. Cross your fingers for me!

    -          Measure up for warm, thick curtains in the dining room (2 sets, matching) and Snug – we are missing a set in the dining room completely so that will need a new curtain rail, the other set can be moved out to the kitchen where we also need to replace the stupid metal rail which holds the curtains 4 inches off the wall so they can’t act as insulation! The ones in the Snug are worn, thin and ugly. I can see that there is up to 76% off in Terry’s fabrics atm so I will try there to start with and have a look at curtains sites through my cashback site as well. I want these purchased and up before the cold weather comes.

    -          Clean the inside of my car windscreen – it is festering and with the low morning sun and driving uphill on the first section of my commute the angle of the sun means I can barely see!

    -          Find my windscreen wiping down foam pad thingamee – where I normally keep it is now occupied by husband’s Xtra strong mints from when we went on holiday – sooo helpful when your windscreen is completely misted up on a damp morning, not!  😉

    -          Clear out, and I mean get in there with a shovel and just chuck! Our spare room / office. I want to make it a usable space to practice drawing in there and atm it most certainly isn’t …. Floor? What floor?!

    -          Google balance exercises and amend my activity tracker I have next to the kettle to record all the extra bits I am doing now compared to when I started my ‘routine’ in the kitchen

    -          Do some stretching

    -          Duolingo (German) – up to day 93 today!  😊

    -          Make a batch of vegan bolognese for the freezer / easy meals

    -          Tidy up various patches in the garden – think beating back cheeky brambles, dead heading etc.

    -          Be nice to my cat and my husband  😊

Really looking forward to this weekend!  😊

    KK

Good luck at the library! Mine didn't charge me when I took something back lately so fingers crossed.

I am also looking at insulating curtains (well, blinds, and making rather than buying) - will investigate Terry's fabrics.

And I didn't realise you were learning German too 😁 I'm up to day 193 I think, very exciting!

I will let you know about the library! 😳😂🤞

I should look at making rather than buying but I know I don’t have the space or the time so rather than guilting myself about it I am aiming to buy as cheaply as I can. I’ve been looking in charity shops but not found anything 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t mention the German-ing as I am miles behind you and feel a bit shy about it …. 😉

It would appear I need to brush up my German!  I haven't spoken it for years since a Rhine cruise.  At least when you practice on Germans they are nice about it, but the French look down their noses.  Of course it could just be that my german accent is better than my french as I have a german great great grandmother.  She came via the uk to go to America, met my great great grandfather & stayed.  It's amazing what you can learn via ancestry.  I mean who knew that they came into the east of the uk then went up to Liverpool to go to USA?
