Always difficult to figure out the grace point between what you absolutely have to earn, what you'd like to earn to achieve all your goals, what hours you'd like to work, how you'd like to work them, and where the compromise point is between all of that.
I turned down a reduction in hours last year, and it was definitely the right call for me at that time for various reasons, but sometimes I wish I could find a way to earn FT money for PT hours so I can, as you say, be me a bit more and an exhausted puddle of a to-do list a bit less.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Tried on clobber for the interview next week - all fits so no need to spend anything there.Got through a terrifying presentation this afternoon on Teams with my boss’s boss and the one above with various others at the same level. They all listened in ABSOLUTE silence and then my boss’s boss said lots of positive things. Feels to me like there is lots of politics swirling around the topic but they stated themselves to be happy so hey, it’s done! 🤷♀️😊
Clean bed sheets! Yaay!! 😊
£5.07 sent to OP from QM33 - getting desperately slow so trying Pr1me Op1nion …. we will see.Mr KK has skimmed a top coat on the scratch coat he put on last night so he can start the stone fireplace this weekend. It’s not smooth - he will sand it down to get it flat - but it’s free labour and we are not looking at grey breeze blocks any more! 😊❤️KKAs at 15.08.25:

Glad your teams thing went wellDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@savingholmes - i raised it as a concern with the recruiter as I didn’t want to waste their time next week if they can’t meet what I need, but she said just to continue with the process and if the CEO decides I am the right person he will find the money (I paraphrase a bit here but that was the gist of it). I would rather she had shared it with them before the second interview, as I think it misrepresents me somewhat to tell them when (if!) they make an offer, but hey, let’s see what happens 🤷♀️
