It must like something! It’s a shame, as I love the leaf shape and pattern. Hopefully you won’t have the same problem and you definitely have more room than me

Be careful of some of the ornamental grasses and bamboos as well, if you don’t want to get swamped! 😉penny_less said:It must like something! It’s a shame, as I love the leaf shape and pattern. Hopefully you won’t have the same problem and you definitely have more room than me

Did a teams interview today. Had a good rapport with the CEO (he did the interview - we laughed a lot 😊) and I think I could do what they need, I like the vibe, but I am hesitant still. We didn’t discuss money at all today and the salary is billed as being quite a chunk less than I am on now but with a 20 minute shorter commute and the option to work from home two days a week ….Spent a long time on the net and the phone this morning talking to insurers about house insurance and JKW …. I can’t get to the underwriters but after talking to two big insurers (@viva and D1rect L1ne) it seems that the downgrading of the risk from JKW that came out in spring this year has fed through the systems and I can get a standard policy, as we have no damage from it and no visible signs of it any more. Also got out in the garden and tidied all my border edges - I have crisp edges, me!!! 😳🥳🎉😊😂

Thanks @beanielou and @savingholmes. One thing I would like to do is work forward from my take home pay to what salary I would need to match current pay levels plus the car allowance I get …. I have NO idea how to do this atm ….
Insurance is progress but I really want to get it done - I gave up yesterday as I was becoming number blind from staring at the screen. Determined to GET IT DONE this evening!KKAs at 15.10.25:

I assume the salary calculator is too simplistic for what you're looking for? Is the car allowance with the existing job but not the new one?2

Ooh, I haven’t come across that one. I will give it a try.Cheery_Daff said:I assume the salary calculator is too simplistic for what you're looking for? Is the car allowance with the existing job but not the new one?
Yes, car allowance is with existing role not new one.

Ooh, well definitely have a play around with the salary calculator, there are quite a few different things you can input, and you can start with take-home pay and work backwards, taking into account different pensions etc

Oh dear …. The new role would have to pay me £13K more than they are currently offering…. and that doesn’t include any bonus. Not sure that going to the second interview next week is even worth it …. Ho hum …
In other news we have house insurance!!!! Let the joy be rampant! (That job was really start to irritate me - so glad it’s done.) Probably not the absolute cheapest but with one of the ones who advised that the JKW is not an issue. The good news is that we have always paid per month since moving in here (almost 4 years ago 😊) but this year we have saved 10% by paying upfront from the savings we have alongside the joint account (Mr KK was chuffed by this 😊). I need to add a new YNAB pot for this insurance renewal and a date for starting to look at this job next year 😊
I also want to review how much I need to be saving each month for all my YNAB pots - I suspect I am not saving enough.KKAs at 15.10.25:
