Talktalk problems with switching

I recently switched from Sky to Talktalk for broadband. When I found out that Sky were still billing me (£80), It turns out Talktalk didn't take over the existing line, but created a new one, along with a new phone number.
On querying it with Talktalk, they blamed Sky, even though the onus is on the receiving company.
It took me an hour to raise a complaint with them, because their advisor wasn't willing to raise one.
Once I raised, they set a time for a call from the complaints team. I missed the first call (literally was away from my phone for 15 seconds) and on the 3 subsequent occasions, they just never called.
I emailed the CEOs office and someone called me within 48 hours. This chap was the rudest person from an executive office I've ever come across. Basically blaming me, but giving me a £30 credit and allowing me to cancel my contract, but would not budge.
Anyway, since sorting this, this guy has been emailing me every 2 days asking to close the complaint which I haven't done until the money is in my account. Today I've received a letter from. Them saying I can escalate it to CIFAS.
I'm out of pocket by £50, I've lost my landline number, and wasted lots of time with these numpties.
If I've accepted a resolution, can I still take it up with CIFAS?

I can only speak through experience: anyone who values good customer service should stay away from TalkTalk. Their CS operatives are limited in their biliary to do anything and that is making leaving impossible.
So if you want your BP to remain in range, leave TalkTalk well alone. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
