Step by Step - tests?

I need some advice, I know I am not going to Benidorm (Spain) till June - but if the rules tests are still the same now till June, what do I need to do? do I need to take a test when I arrive at Manchester Airport before I get on the plane or do I take a test when I arrive at Alicante Airport before I go to Benidorm? if yes, what tests I need to take? I know tests with coming back have now been scrapped for Friday which is good news, I just wish all tests would be scrapped before I go, sound a nightmare these tests.

Like I said, I just want to know what I need to do if these tests are still in place in June, and yes, before anyone says, rules can change with these tests but I just want an idea what I need to do because all of this is confusing. Please, don't come back with sarcastic and rude replies, I just want to know that's all.

And will I still need to fill in Spain travel health and passenger locator form?

No one can say what will happen in June, you are far too early to be worrying yet. Any Information given now will almost certainly have changed at least twice before June. You also have to factor in whether the pandemic will be considered over, or whether new more dangerous variants might be found. Who knows?

Sit back and wait, ask again a couple of weeks before you are due to go. I know this isn’t what you want to hear but there is no point going through it all this early. I flew out last weekend and whilst I was here on holiday the rules have had 2 major changes to the tests I need to take.

As for what is happening now, I am triple vaccinated, live in England and am currently in Spain and all I need to do is to have a day 2 LFT booked for my return. I had to do a Spanish locator form before I left and 2 days before I fly home I need to do a UK one.

Jack, you are working yourself up into worry mode long before you need to. Althams your travel agents are excellent, they will tell you what you need to do and when at the time you book and again before you travel. As you know the rules changed yesterday, they seem to change every couple of months so there could be numerous changes before June. Will you have to fill in a Spanish form? No one knows, not even the Spanish government, things could be much better than now or possibly not. This isn't sarcasm, it is simply saying 'stop worrying' right now, live your life and look forward to your holiday

6 months is a lifetime these days... we could be in the same place, we may be in a lockdown with no international travel for holidays allowed or the things like latflow tests after arrivals abolished by then.

As long as you're not spending every last penny to go and can afford to pay for tests if they are introduced then dont worry... if you are spending every penny on the holiday then you've plenty of other things to worry about anyway

There's even a chance the pandemic will essentially be over by then helped by the omicron "vaccine" so no more crazy rules.

I hope so, and I also hope masks are scrapped by the time I go in June as I don't fancy wearing one outside all day in hot weather, I will be sweating haha.

Decided to escape the UK and "work from home" just not my home for probably half the pandemic so far and the masks in 30C isnt great but 1) it depends what you are doing as to how much you are really wandering around outside and 2) in the more touristic areas enforcement of rules tends to be more lax (to totally non-existent) if you're comfortable being a rule breaker

I enjoy people watching normally but other than doing cultural trips where its 3 hours wandering the ruins then its just meant a few more stops at cafes, icecream shops etc where you can sit with the mask off, enjoy a beer or snack etc and then move on after a bit

Personally prefer the mask to just 7 hours of daylight and single digit temperatures personally

No, I am leaving it till 11th May because I am not going till 15th June, plus I am holding off due to this Omicron, because who knows, we could be in lockdown again? I bought some holiday clothes on Ebay today! Getting prepared.

Obviously you need to be comfortable with when you book- but remember it is likely that prices will go up as people start to book and if you are going through a travel agent you might not be able to get the exact hotel you want if you leave it late. If the resort and hotel don't matter to you much - then booking last minute can work.
