Step by Step - tests?

168 Posts

I need some advice, I know I am not going to Benidorm (Spain) till June - but if the rules tests are still the same now till June, what do I need to do? do I need to take a test when I arrive at Manchester Airport before I get on the plane or do I take a test when I arrive at Alicante Airport before I go to Benidorm? if yes, what tests I need to take? I know tests with coming back have now been scrapped for Friday which is good news, I just wish all tests would be scrapped before I go, sound a nightmare these tests.
Like I said, I just want to know what I need to do if these tests are still in place in June, and yes, before anyone says, rules can change with these tests but I just want an idea what I need to do because all of this is confusing. Please, don't come back with sarcastic and rude replies, I just want to know that's all.
And will I still need to fill in Spain travel health and passenger locator form?

Sit back and wait, ask again a couple of weeks before you are due to go. I know this isn’t what you want to hear but there is no point going through it all this early. I flew out last weekend and whilst I was here on holiday the rules have had 2 major changes to the tests I need to take.
As for what is happening now, I am triple vaccinated, live in England and am currently in Spain and all I need to do is to have a day 2 LFT booked for my return. I had to do a Spanish locator form before I left and 2 days before I fly home I need to do a UK one.

I am just not going to worry now and just enjoy my holiday when I go.
As long as you're not spending every last penny to go and can afford to pay for tests if they are introduced then dont worry... if you are spending every penny on the holiday then you've plenty of other things to worry about anyway
I enjoy people watching normally but other than doing cultural trips where its 3 hours wandering the ruins then its just meant a few more stops at cafes, icecream shops etc where you can sit with the mask off, enjoy a beer or snack etc and then move on after a bit
Personally prefer the mask to just 7 hours of daylight and single digit temperatures personally
Have you booked it yet?
Obviously you need to be comfortable with when you book- but remember it is likely that prices will go up as people start to book and if you are going through a travel agent you might not be able to get the exact hotel you want if you leave it late. If the resort and hotel don't matter to you much - then booking last minute can work.
