Pretty sure it's not true fo SP. However many private defined benefit pensions allow it in some circumstances

No you have to reach state pension age - at present this is 660

Taking pensions early can affect entitlement to means-tested benefits, and certain non-means tested benefits. You should see if you may be entitled to any financial help by using a benefits calculator

Ni I got my work place pension early due to ill health medical retirement but I have to wait until I reach pension age for my state pension.

It's not always advised to take any works pension early because it affects means tested benefits and also affects New Style ESA if your pension is more than £85 per week.
