Virgin Media MSE December 2021 offer a bit misleading
Ends Thu. 108Mb fibre (MEGAFAST) Virgin broadband and line '£18.40/mth'. MSE Blagged. Till 11.59pm on Thu, Virgin Media newbies can get this 108Mb deal for £23.95/mth, plus a £100 bill credit (so you pay nothing for the first 4mths). Factor that in and it's equivalent to £18.40/mth over the 18mth contract. Yet only 52% of UK homes can get Virgin, so the link goes to our Broadband Unbundled comparison tool to check your eligibility and to find other deals.
This didn't take account of VM charging a £35 activation fee, therefore the bill credit it only really £65 meaning you don't pay anything for the first 2.7 months, not 4 months so factor that in and it's equivalent to £20.34 over the 18 Month contract.
Still a good deal but a bit disappointing that you get charged the £35. Has anyone else had the same or should VM be waiving the £35 activation fee under this offer? Basically trying to find out if it's an MSE error or a VM error?
