Submit a letter before action to the Tesla dealership for 9 years worth of subscription payments then follow it up with small claims court.
If you can convince a judge you didn't know about it they should pay up and they might just settle.0 -
Judging by satisfaction reviews I think buyers of expensive cars are far more likely to feel ripped off. With a higher price tag comes a considerably higher level of expectation. When I bought my £2K golf no one did a big reveal with a large bow and bunch of flowers for the GF.Herzlos said:
Are buyers of expensive cars not allowed to feel ripped off?tonyh66 said:Why as a buyer of an £80k car are you crying about a £10 p/m subscription?
Subscription car features are going to hit all of us eventually2 -
The last sentence here is an absurd principle. You can't sell a car with the promise of a particular service being included and then charge extra for that service later. The only question that matters here is whether the company did actually communicate it properly at the outset. Many documents/\websites show the copyright date as 2022 now, despite being online for a long time.
Eg:© 2022 BBC, which has many historic articles.
You did not need to take the subscription out. System still works without it.0 -

not as they are now serving me up, an internet document that is copyrighted 2 years after I bought my car
Just pointing out that just because it has a copyright date later does not mean what the OP thinks. 👍Life in the slow lane1 -
Well because its not the money, it's retrospective changes. We all have our views. As I said had I been told I would have been happy with that. FYI I'm not the only one but many have taken your stancetonyh66 said:Why as a buyer of an £80k car are you crying about a £10 p/m subscription?0 -
All done in the right order. They are defending it.Herzlos said:Submit a letter before action to the Tesla dealership for 9 years worth of subscription payments then follow it up with small claims court.

If they had of communicated this at the beginning I would not be taking them to court. The system doesn't work as sold without the subscription. I'v already said that and there is no option to connect on the move to your own hotspot .Deleted_User said:

OK that's good to know, however they were not able to produce one before that date even using way back time machine which is where they got the 2020 document with other features they now say I am not entitled to.born_again said:

If it's not on the way back machine it probably wasn't on there at the time. Can you see the main site at the time and see if you can find mention of it? Or anything about in your paperwork?Biggles181 said:

I'd expect a free trial for a subscription to be mentioned somewhere as the start/end date would be important.0
