Hey I hope the new job is going well!1
-
Evening all, sorry not posted much been settling into my new job.So updates
im going back to Sainsburys starting this Sunday, 3 days a week on a 12 hour contract. The only over time I could actually do is on the Sunday now if I stay after 8am. The plus side to this means getting rid of my debt a little quicker and Sainsburys have announced that they’re going to increase pay to £10.25 an hour instead of £10.Puppy is a looney, annoys Django all the time!My new job - I absolutely love it! 8.30 starts and 3.30 finishes meaning I get home just after 4PM. It’s really chilled out and not stressful at all! Downside is, it’s right next to a retail park that has a huge Tesco and also has McDonald’s and a kfc, I’ve spent most of my work lunch in Tesco this week so spent more money than needed. Also the free time after work now means I can start swimming again and the gym with my friend.
Debt wise - still under 1K should be gone by Christmas!Plans of action;
pick up a cheap white board from pound shop and write down meal plan ideas.
Budget and stuck to it
rejoin the gym/swimming
drink my water again
start making better choices!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Great to hear you are enjoying your new job, at least a Tesco being close means you don't have to go out of your way to do any mid-week top up shops?
Debt free by xmas is a great achievement, keep at it! It's likely mine will be the Christmas after but I will get there!

Ah great to hear from you. I’m glad all is going well for you! Ah I know what you mean about Tesco. I used to Work around the corner from Tesco and would spend much of my lunchtime in there.2

Evening all!
So I’ve started thinking about the big C word…yep you guessed CHRISTMAS 🎄
As my nephew won’t understand Christmas I’m just putting money into his savings account. I have some boots points to spend so I’ll be doing that later buying stocking fillers etc.
I plan on buying my OH the new Xbox, it’s around £450 at Argos but with my discount it comes to £404 but some time in December we get an extra 5% off at Argos. So I plan on saving my nectar points and I have £35 gift card from sainsburys to use! So I’m budgeting ahead for this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Love that you’re budgeting ahead for Christmas - old you would NOT have done that, I’m guessing?!Just one word of caution on the card/catalogues though - it sounds like the temptation is still there to a degree, and might be best to step right away from anything that could lead to a debt but at the very least do make sure they are all set to clear completely each month, and ensure that you really stop and think before spending on either.

Evening all,
not posted much super busy. I’ve been asked to go to a different branch for Euro Car Parts Monday and Tuesday as they’re very short staffed and need a lot of help getting the warehouse up and sorted. Apparently I’m trust to do this and my manager is happy to pay for my travel there and back on both days!I get paid from there next Friday aswell and I’m not sure if I’m on NMW or more, but soon find out!I’ve started meal prepping again so that’s a startI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards.
