  • Sounds like you have a lovely day planned, enjoy it!  I also like to pay my insurance in one go, rather than overpaying by having the DD fee on top.

Sainsburys offered me an extra shift a week, I accepted. so I work, Wednesday Thursday Friday and Sunday with them now.

Also, super tired. Walking Django soon and then bed time!

Is that contractually? Be careful not to burn yourself out, sometimes it’s best to keep contractual hours low (12 or 16) and then do overtime because the overtime is on your terms not theirs, whereas contractually you’re obliged to turn up, tired or otherwise!
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing

I think so, I'll double check. Oh I agree, but with picking up the extra day I will drop picking up the extra Saturday now

I bought a yankee candle

We've had 4 people leave in the last week so there's plenty of over time going again

Morning @BlueJ94 - Just had a quick dip into your diary to see how you're getting on & seen that your pesky debt figure now starts with a '1', which is fantastic! You really must feel as though you're well & truly on the home straight now. I can honestly tell you there's nothing like that feeling when the last installment is paid off, & finally every bit of your earnings is then your own. Yes, we still have to pay essential bills, etc, but not for stuff we bought so long ago on credit that we can barely remember what any of it was.
Good luck with the final push!

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

@foxgloves - is spot on, we are paying the debt off for goods that we probably don’t even have anymore.

    You’re doing great - I’m also a sucker for Yankee candles 😀

Thanks both! I can almost taste the debt freedom!

On another note, the guy who's been trianing me to refurbish screens says he's pretty impressed with me!

Im going into my main job tomorrow as over time for a 6 hour shift, so £60 isn't bad. Plus I'm at sainsburys in the morning which is time and half as bank holiday! I really enjoy refurbishment and may even consider switching to doing it full time if the opportunity is there.
