Straight in the bin, the company (new management) made such a big deal on how many long service members of staff we had and thought we’d appreciate a certificate and a badge like we are children in school 😆
  • Well done on getting into the £2ks...amazing progress!

I'm sure they'll have a project team working on why they're losing staff and can't attract new talent now... :D

Honestly it baffles me how companies can't see what needs to be done.  Even in the company I work for where they have an annual employee survey which tells them what needs to happen.

@LittleMissDetermined, we worked for a family run business  then a corporate company took over told how different it would be lots of new benefits ( not seen one yet - they took over about 4 years ago apart from my badge 🤣🤣)
HR said they were going to do a survey (but covid hit and decided not a priority)  but they told us don’t be too honest on it if youre saying anything negative 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🤣

I got a certificate for 25 years, £500 vouchers and a certificate for 30 years, just a certificate for 35 years. The certificates aren’t even framed…I’ve no idea where I put them, but companies should know they don’t really impress us 🙄

What on earth is the point of the survey in that case? Madness... :D

    Evening guys,

Worked today, then we went and got some doughnuts 🍩 it's been raining here most of the day so not really done alot. It's Djangos birthday today he's 5! Not much going on tomorrow, working in sainsburys that's about it. No over time for next week as of yet just waiting to see if anything gets posted. Debt wise, not really doing to do anything with it now until April as my car is going into the garage at the end of the month and no idea how much its going to cost so savings most of my sainsburys wage for that

Great progress again - and hurrah to being in the 2's! On the discount with Vanquis, think about it in terms of percentages off - that sounds MILES better!

The way companies treat staff makes me chuckle. Some years ago I worked for a large construction company who were going for "Investors in People" accreditation. An external validator came in to conduct interviews with everyone, but before it happened it was made absolutely clear to us that they would know who had said what - IIRC the wording used to us (verbally - nothing in writing of course!) was "think carefully about what you say". As a result I now take absolutely zero notice of companies "earning" such accreditations as I know quite how dubious they are!
