Reading that (and this Rights when buying items and services | Informationsverige.se) the 14 day cancellation rules are almost identical to those in the UK. Hence the T+Cs/retund policy on their website are complete bunkum.

Bunkum or not they have to enforce their rights in Sweden.

It's not as easy for Brexit Britain to enforce our rights in the EU now.

Indeed, I'm not sure it would have been any easier pre-Brexit mind you.
    Chargeback a potential solution?

  • I'm sure your tone wasn't meant to be of one so harsh. intonation is hard on an online post, isn't it? I only asked because the item ha now been returned to Boxbollen so they get an item back and I lose £22.00. I am absolutely aware it is my mistake however as they have the item back I was hoping they would re-send it out. I am someone who always wants to do the right thing and looks for that in others.

You don't seem to have mentioned offering to pay for a second delivery to the correct address, that would perhaps be a good course of action.
  • The company did as you requested of them, the mistake is yours, you need to pay to correct it instead of expecting the company to finance you mistake

Hi all, a friend of mine's son has a broken leg so before Christmas I decided to send him a Boxball that has been advertised everywhere. I stupidly had it sent to their old address and Royal Mail said it would be returned to the sender.

I have now contacted BoxBall to ask if they would re-send to the right address and the've said no due to 'shipping costs'!! Do I have any protection here?? Thanks, in advance, for any support.
Your 'protection' is to pay again to have it sent to the correct address.

BoxBall have sent it to where you asked.  Do they have the item back?
do you mean to pay for the whole item again even though Boxballen has it back or do you mean just for re-postage - I'd happily do that but that is not what they have offered.

To be fair to the two posters you quote, I suspect you may have got replies more to your satisfaction if, rather than just asking what "protection" you had, you had asked something specific like "If I don't want to pay another £1.99 to have it redelivered, am I entitled to my money back?" or even "I won't have to pay the full purchase price again to have it redelivered will I?".

Just asking what "protection" you have doesn't sufficiently explain what you want to know so invites what you may consider blunt or "unhelpful" responses.
  • Update: the co-founder finally replied to me. I offered to pay for re-shipping but he is now sending one out without charging.
