Hi all, a friend of mine's son has a broken leg so before Christmas I decided to send him a Boxball that has been advertised everywhere. I stupidly had it sent to their old address and Royal Mail said it would be returned to the sender.
I have now contacted BoxBall to ask if they would re-send to the right address and the've said no due to 'shipping costs'!! Do I have any protection here?? Thanks, in advance, for any support.

Your 'protection' is to pay again to have it sent to the correct address.BarneyBear1510 said:Hi all, a friend of mine's son has a broken leg so before Christmas I decided to send him a Boxball that has been advertised everywhere. BoxBall have sent it to where you asked. Do they have the item back?0 -
Is the 'BoxBall' you refer to the 'Boxbollen' toy consisting of a small ball connected to a headband by a piece of elastic? If so, the company is domiciled in Sweden. Any rights you have, if any, would be under Swedish law.1

The company did as you requested of them, the mistake is yours, you need to pay to correct it instead of expecting the company to finance you mistake1

It is but they obviously have a UK branch as postage was only 1.99Ditzy_Mitzy said:Is the 'BoxBall' you refer to the 'Boxbollen' toy consisting of a small ball connected to a headband by a piece of elastic? I'm sure your tone wasn't meant to be of one so harsh. intonation is hard on an online post, isn't it? I only asked because the item ha now been returned to Boxbollen so they get an item back and I lose £22.00. I am absolutely aware it is my mistake however as they have the item back I was hoping they would re-send it out. I am someone who always wants to do the right thing and looks for that in others.ssparks2003 said:The company did as you requested of them, the mistake is yours, you need to pay to correct it instead of expecting the company to finance you mistake0 -
do you mean to pay for the whole item again even though Boxballen has it back or do you mean just for re-postage - I'd happily do that but that is not what they have offered.theonlywayisup said:

You are entitled to your full payment back as the item is returned. (Assuming this is a purchase from the UK arm of the company?)BarneyBear1510 said:

Just pay again once you have your refund and use the correct address.
Edit to add - I do not think this is a UK company. The T&C are shocking. How did you pay?0 -
It doesn't matter where it was despatched from. The contract is still Swedish: Terms and Conditions – The Boxball UKBarneyBear1510 said:
