Chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake for birthday weekend getogether. Recipe on bbc, upscaled from 23cm round to 24cm square. Was so tasty!
I can only make cheesecake, so always proud to show off my efforts 🥳

That looks delicious, @carinjo! And easy to portion, too.

Today I've made a favourite: spinach, sweet potato, and lentil stew. I had all the ingredients in and used up some potato wedges made the other day - so why do we not seem to have more space in the fridge? I've also nearly finished the yogurt recipe I experimented with the other day - it's a bit of a guessing game as to how long it will stay fresh as the yogurt is home made but it's okay so far.

Now I want some of carinjo's cake...

Put the link on your clip board (copy or cut does this).
Highlight the word(s) where you want the link to go.
Click on the little chain symbol above the text box.
You should get a box popping up.
Paste into where you see the space for a URL.
    Remember to okay it.

That's from memory so I may not be 100% but I'm sure you'll work it out!

Can you get away with not peeling the apples for your chutney?

Thanks @Cherryfudge, i've been snacking on them watching late night telly  o:)
Defrosted a bag of lemons, so today is an easy marmalade recipe from Marguerite Patten book. It came recommended to me here by someone, can't remember who, sorry.
The leftover veg in bottom of fridge going into a soup for next couple of days. I bought a celery to make a soffrito mix too while i'm at it.

I'm afraid the marmalade didn't work. Not only did it not set, i ended up burning it too. Had the same issue with gooseberry jam last year, so think will have to have a rethink before attempting jam making again. Maybe a better pot? Using a regular large saucepan.

Been a bit MIA as not been well. Had to do a food shop (expensive but stocked up on chicken and a few other useful things for the freezer). So far we are eating a lot out the freezer and cupboards. So much so the chicken etc went straight in a nearly empty freezer drawer. Meal plan is looking good and I've gone 70% veggie. Tonight was a Sunday dinner, leftovers fir my dd's tea tomorrow, OH will take a portion of lasagne out of the freezer and I'll be having Scrambled eggs on toast post my exercise class. I made lentk dahl which is now frozen and will be used later in the week. Also made soup from some bendy veg- portion of that for my lunch tomorrow.

I have 2 tins of condensed milk and I'm wondering what to make. My usual is a caramel shortbread but trying to diet.. any other ideas?

@Ellie79 hope you feeling better now. You can make fudge and treat yourself to a square whenever your diet allows. Or with xmas coming up, can make eggnog with one of the cans.
