Is that so? I stand corrected then. It doesn't bother us - a non-DAB+ mono Roberts in the kitchen has served us well for the last 20 years, and the bedside alarm & bathroom DAB+ radios are both mono (with stereo h/phone o/p, never used).

There are so many options these days. I don't really understand the question though. If you want your music in another room aren't you better just moving your music system rather than just taking the speakers? When I used to buy CDs I would rip them into FLAC or 320kbps MP3 and then put the CD away safely. With MP3 you could put hundreds of CDs on a tiny USB stick. Can't imagine ever putting a CD in to listen to any more.

I'm coming around to the idea of simply ripping my CD collection.

I know I could do that on a PC, but also wondering about a Brennan B2 - with the latest update, it can connect to a Sonos speaker.

I like the look of those . Apparently there are 2 versions of the Brennan, and reviews are mixed.  It'll be intereting to hear your experience if you purchase one .
