I'm struggling to find what I'm looking for - does anyone know if it exists?
A mini hifi. Must have a CD player and DAB radio. But with bluetooth or wifi speakers - so that I can take the speaker(s) into a different room.
Budget - ideally £250 or so, but happy to pay more if needed.

This (kind of) does what you want but blows your budget away. Need to add speakers (natch).

Have you tried richer sounds ?They are helpful on the phone , as well as having a good website .
From what I can see, there are a couple of mini hi-fis from Denton and Marantz that have Bluetooth , Cd and DAB . No speakers though . The reviews on the website are quite favourable .There are blutooth speakers with input sockets which would allow CDs etc to be connected . There are blutooth speakers from Sonos etc but are not in your budget..1 -
You could use a computer with a Bluetooth speaker & either stream the radio via the internet or get a DAB dongle/card1

If you find some arrangement where a fixed base unit plays radio or CDs to remote Bluetooth spkrs, don't expect to be able to take them too far. Bluetooth range is quite limited esp once it has to go through walls etc.3

There's a wide range of Bluetooth transmitters available, through Amazon at least...
Get a conventional HiFi with CD and DAB, making sure it has a fixed-level audio output - a Tape Out, typically, but some might have digital (optical) out.
Get Bluetooth transmitter, making sure it can accept either digital or tape out from HiFi, with right plug types and functionality
Get separate Bluetooth speaker or speakers, pair it to BT transmitter
This will allow you to play in both rooms, or either one independent of the other.
