Non spend day today, Yay!Debt at LBM July 2017 - £42,002 (cards & loans) + £37,421 (2 mortgage consolidations)
Car bought in Dec 2020 - £12,500
Total Debt - £54,502 (£91,923 including mortgage consolidations)
Total Debt Jan '23 - £19,061.56 (credit cards) + £20,562 (mortgage consolidations)
Consolidated debt onto my mortgage twice in the years before LBM, so it's all consumer debt. Just focusing on clearing card debt first and letting the additional mortgages reduce with the monthly payments.DFD (credit cards) - December 2024 (24 months) 🤞🤞🤞

Firstly ... traffic coming home from work was horrendous, completely back to pre pandemic levels again as far as I can tell.
Secondly ... I need to go back to basics again. When I first started debt busting I followed the Dave Ramsey method of putting all my debts in order of amount, really focussing on the lowest and paying the minimum (just over) on all the rest. I kept an eye on when the transfer deals were ending and occasionally swapped around the one I was blasting. But it was only ever one and all the others ticked over until it was their turn.
I'm not doing that now, I'm over paying each one e.g. if payment is £165 I'm paying £200. It really worked just putting all the focus on clearing one debt at a time, it felt like a real mission and felt really good to scratch each one off in turn. So the plan is to go back to that again.Debt at LBM July 2017 - £42,002 (cards & loans) + £37,421 (2 mortgage consolidations)

I love Dave Ramsey! It’s odd as I don’t really like the US way of pulling religion into everything and I don’t think that couples pooling resources works for everyone, but the snowball method is so sensible and I love his straight talking 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Yes, I loved listening to the pod cast of his show, especially when people called in. Straight to the point and no nonsense. Think he has co hosts now and listened to a few and it didn’t seem as good. There seems to be more talking and less callers now and that was my favourite part. Yep, time to get back to laser focus on one at a time - get it done!Debt at LBM July 2017 - £42,002 (cards & loans) + £37,421 (2 mortgage consolidations)

Am aiming to make £20 per month from surveys. Transfered £5.14 today, so that's £5.14 of £20 for this month so far.
I used to save it up, but someone suggested that if the site went down/closed down that money would be lost, so now I transfer it as soon as it reaches the £5 limit.Debt at LBM July 2017 - £42,002 (cards & loans) + £37,421 (2 mortgage consolidations)
