Can I ask on this thread I don't want to start a new thread just to ask this.Do they only do one nostril swab on your PCR test along with the both tonsils (or where they were) swab now when you do it at a testing site?
I did one a few weeks ago. They swabbed four different places at the back of my throat and both nostrils, was quite surprised how thorough they were.
yes throat and one nostril when I had to go to a testing site a few weeks back.
Wonder why they not all the same, and why some have gone to one nostril.

I had a PCR test last week, I swabbed myself, in a booth with no one watching, if I wanted to I could have put the swab straight in the sample bottle without swabbing anything.

Not sure that would have given you a negative result on a PCR!

That would have just given an invalid result.
