Carphone Warehouse - Unsolicited calls

Hopefully this is the right forum board 

I have been receiving a number of calls in the past week, all from similar numbers 

020 3458 4615
020 8954 4725
020 8954 4239
020 8954 4472
020 8954 4597 

most of them I don’t answer, the odd one I have it turns out it’s a foreign call centre for Carphone Warehouse.

besides blocking each number (5 so far) is there nothing else I can do

i have been signed upto the TPC for a number of years and generally don’t suffer with these nuisance calls

This isn't the Carphone Warehouse - It's a scam company pretending to be them and many other companies.

Just ignore.

they are wifi calling you and any number they prefer to show up.

I got one the other day and I said "Can you take me off your calling list please?"

I swear blind he said "F*** you Sir" before he put the phone down

I just don't answer the calls now, which appears to have done the trick

I've had that a couple of times. One company based in this country phoned and before I could say anything he called me the c word. And the same as you after I wouldn't answer them they phoned me back and told me to F off

i just tell them.i don't have a car.

Depending on my mood, I'll string them along until they either hang up or start swearing. Usually takes about 30 minutes, but that is time they are not trying to scam someone else.

I only wish I could do that (I have a work colleague that does it to)

Like FreeBear I string them along if I'm in the right mood.  Best one is to repeatedly ask where they are calling from, what was that company's name again, how did they get my name and number?  And then start over "but I don't understand why you are calling me, who are you again???"  Other than the phone slammers the most polite response I got was "Madam you are wasting my time! Good Day!!

I normally scream down the phone with a big F... O..........................................................
