As an aside, going off that thread, why on earth are you booking it in a travel agent when you can do it yourself online and cut out the middleman?

Because when I phoned Althams up last week to enquire about deposit, she said if I come in, she will find me a better deal and discuss everything that I want to know. What do you mean about cut out the middleman?

The travel agent is the middle man. They may or may not be taking a cut.

Have you checked to see if its any cheaper doing it yourself online?

This is bad advice IMO.
book a package deal with a travel agent who are ABTA registered.
they are responsible for providing you with a package.

do it separately and you risk having to pay for flights when accommodation is shut, or paying for accomondation when you can’t get there.

right now a package deal with an ABTA agent is your safest bet.

Bad advice? Booking a package direct with Jet2 is ALSO ABTA registered. He mentions Jet2 on the other forum. So, has he checked its any cheaper doing it direct with Jet2?

Lisyloo didnt realise you was booking a Jet2 holiday in an Althams branch, my advice is correct.
