COVID Tests

Does anyone else think these COVID tests will be gone by the time I go to Benidorm in June? I am reading on Benidorm Facebook group page that a lot of people have to do tests when they get to Spain and when they leave. It sounds like a nightmare to deal with! especially when I have never been abroad in my life.

Five months is a very long time in the world of Covid, so the rules can (and probably will) change numerous times between now and then, but chances are you'll need to do some testing at some point. There's undoubtedly more of a requirement to monitor the situation and to be prepared to make arrangements at short notice, but that doesn't really make it a 'nightmare', it's just something that needs to be accepted if you want to travel....1

In the last couple of weeks Spain has brought back in the requirement for masks to be worn outside (which was removed 6 months before) I would not be surprised if they brought in testing prior to travel....much will depend on this variant and the variants that will follow. I have seen in other countries the requirement to have a negative test result within previous 7 days to be shown to enter restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc for example...all you can really do is check the situation a week or so prior to travel.1 -
Come back in May and ask us all then. Same applies to Digital Spy where you are also asking the same questions btw1

Fully vaccinated doesn’t mean you can’t catch or transmit Covid. So testing to protect other people is likely to be ongoing for the foreseeable, regardless of vaccination status. You have taken out decent travel insurance? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
