Carpetright Problems

I am currently waiting to have a resolution to a complaint I have made to Carpetright. I have attached photos and an outline of the issues. I have requested compensation.
I would appreciate any comments to point me in the right direction for a satisfactory outcome.
I had LVT on room floor and carpet on the stairs. Initial fitting was in May with three return visits for repairs/refitting.
The photos show shoddy workmanship, lack of underlay under the LVT fitted by original fitters, poor application (or no application) of mastic around bathroom fittings, use of mastic to infill poorly fitted LVT against doorframe and skirting etc.
One photo shows a piece of wood found under the LVT and the underlay! The joint kept popping up so the second fitter investigated!
Carpet coming out after 2 days.

Advice please on how to succeed in this situation.
Currently, I am in discussions. Carpetright have offered £150 compensation. I have rejected this and asked for my fitting costs back plus an extended guarantee on the fitting as further issues may arise beyond the 12 month period. The £150 is apparently from the store and any other compensation is from the fitters so the manager will be speaking to them.

Personally I would want it ripped out and done with different fitters.
Technically you are supposed to give them a chance to put it right but those fitters are that bad they could never do a better job no matter how many times you let them try. You either have the skill to do a job or you don't.
That job isn't even that hard to do, laying laminate is actually pretty simple and a compotent DIYer could do a better job than that.
Compensation is fine if you can live with it, but that would just bug me, I would need it redone properly.
I would still be holding carpetright responsible as I would expect them to only reccomend competent people, you put your faith in them to have compotent fitters so it's not a big ask to trust them to get the job done properly.3 -
For completeness, here is a link to the OP's earlier thread on the same subject - this new thread is in a more suitable location

I wouldn't want compensation. I would want it ripping out and doing again! It looks awful so why on earth would you want compensation and it leaving in?!?!
I had the same with Tapis. Their fitter butchered my kitchen floor so it had to be ripped out and done again. The problem was that their fitters are actually self employed so the same guy had to do it again. And again it buckled up and looked awful a couple of days after it was put down. This time I got a full refund and it ripped up again!
We then used an independent floor fitters who did a fab job!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Absolutely abysmal - I couldn't live with that, even with a full refund.
And the way the carpet has been 'fitted' to the top stair is a major trip hazard.0
