Captcha when abroad makes site unusable

I go way a lot and can use this forum without issue wherever I am presumably because I'm logged in. When I go to the main site however, I have to select several pictures from two pages of photos to prove I'm a human.
Is there no way that this could be cached so that when I've gone through the challenge once on a given device, I can access the site without selecting ships or helicopters or whatever Google have put in their captcha ?
