Dyson v10 not working

I've called them today and there going to send out a new vacuum,  first class customer services

I have a v6 car and boat handheld vac, I only use it for quick clean up jobs in the car , i recently needed it but found that the battery was flat, after a full charge it only lasted maybe a minute or so before it ran out of charge, it did the same after charging so I suspected the battery was the issue, checking the dyson site revealed that it won’t work in temperatures lower than 3 deg, as I keep it in the garage this made sense, so after bringing it into the house and charging it, it seems to be ok now, hopefully it’s saved me sixty five quid for a new battery, I’ll just have to remember to keep it in the house when winter comes..
