Yes, I agree. How does he wake you up? Ie is he being loud, putting lights on, barging in getting undressed and talking etc or does he get undressed outside the room, creep in and slide slowly into bed but you sleep lightly and thats enough to wake you? Either way, its only good manners to use another room. Or if he's likely to be so drunk he forgets what room he's in, you should go to the other room when you go to bed?
Waking you then is definitely on him but im sorry ng, the alarm is definitely on you 😆 how many times over the years have you gone to sleep without checking if his alarm is set to go off ⏰ 😆 and been woken between 4 and 6 depending on what hours he's doing
I'm in awe of your stamina to keep going into shops. We did a list and got our big shop about 10 days ago and haven't been near a shop since and I don't plan on being in one any time soon 😆 cant stand busy shops nowadays, I'm such a rural girl now, if I go any worse ill start getting my shopping in local fields and creeping up on cows for our milk 🙂 😅 😀 😄

😆 Not many cows around here to be accosting for milk Daisy! I’m not enjoying the shopping I can tell you, done now except for the collection on Xmas eve. I’m glad I have done it all as mum want to Sainsbugs today and it was bare shelves apparently 😱
We don’t have a spare room at the moment, we gave the first spare to ds2 and dil where they are keeping their rats , the most recent room (ds1’s) which was the original main bedroom is still full of some of his stuff and all the cats bits, it’s basically their room now 😂 I am a bit of a light sleeper but he is a bit noisy and will come in bang about and get in the shower which is in our en-suite. Luckily he doesn’t go out much at all, it’s just been a few times lately. I’m just very tired and grumpy at the moment to be honest!Went out for a coffee and present swap this morning, a few more bits bought in the local Ald! which was pretty empty. I need to update the grocery spending (non Xmas) as I’ve not done that in ages.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -
Awake far too early again today, oh well after a quick read on here I will got up and get started for the day. Things are coming together ok really, dh did start doing a few jobs yesterday that I needed help with. I have a friends 50th New Year’s Day and will likely be in York so I need to drop off her present perhaps today if she’s available, I got totally stuck with what to get so ended up buying perfume from @mazon, I would have bought in a real shop but it was twice the price sadly. In theory I think I could pack for York today perhaps, if I plan out what I’m wearing over the next few days there’s no reason why not, we will be busy Boxing Day then possibly off after my early hospital appointment on the 27th. I have always found the between Xmas and new year but a but depressing really, no idea why, so being somewhere else and just relaxing and going for walks is hopefully a better bet, staying at home may mean a lot of lying around and eating chocolate leftovers. Plus it’s time to reflect on some new year plans and ideas.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Phew, things are mostly sorted out now 😊 I need to set an alarm to make sure I get up early enough tomorrow to do another clean and stick the turkey and goose in. Dh has a cold which is a pain, I don’t want to catch it and I’ve had to tell everyone incase they want to avoid him.Managed to do the roast potatoes today, they will be re roasted again tomorrow so they are extra crunchy 😁 we saw the in-laws this afternoon and now I’m tucked up in bed ready to watch Xmas gone fishing and then the ghost story at Xmas, my favourite fairly recent tradition, I think this is the fourth year running there’s been one.I hope everyone manages to have the Xmas that they want to this year whether that’s quiet and relaxing or crazy 😊MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

I really enjoyed last night's Christmas Gone Fishing, the places were beautiful and Bob falling over makes me laugh everytime 🤣

Happy Christmas to you jessy!Xmas day went really well, dh was not much use food wise as I didn’t want him breathing germs over it all, ds2 and dd helped in the most hard work bit- the hour before serving when everything needs doing at once and getting out, I did borrow mums hostess trolley (very retro 😬) . Dds quiz was brilliant, and involved each team making a contraption to protect an egg that was then thrown out of one of the bedroom windows to the garden 😆 We even squeezed in tv which we never normally do, we had to have subtitles for Wallace and grommit due to the background noise of everyone , but for Gavin and Stacey everyone did stay quiet 😆
Yesterday was the clear up and dh got up early and did it all, bar the packing away of all the Xmas bits like glasses that need bubble wrapping, it looked like we had had a massive wedding rather than a family dinner 🤣 and that’s after people jumping in and loading the dishwasher and washing up here and there throughout the day. This morning we were off to York but I’m not sure yet as dh (and I ) are still a bit tired so it won’t be today, I’ve got hospital in an hour. Maybe we will go tomorrow, I’ll leave it up to him. It’s a shame to not go as he has time off until New Year’s Day and next year no spare holiday bar a couple of days now, so really we can do only weekends as my brother has nabbed Easter already and we are away a couple of bank holidays. It’s a long drive for a couple of nights so it’s good to make the most of it now.I hope everyone had a great Christmas ❤️MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁9 -
Well we have had another hellish drive to York 😩 I Thought we would have it a bit easier this time but no, terrible traffic, broken chargers, queues to get into service station car parks and toilets, what’s going on 😱 still we are here now. I’ve brought food and drinks and stopped at Lidl for a few bits, about £45 spent on charging and £20 on breakfast and lunch (I did bring drinks and fruit but it was cold and we were hungry!) the budget is £250 - all Xmas money we were gifted this year, so £95 spent an we need to allow another £40 odd in electric to get home.No plans yet, I do want to walk the wall as I’ve not done it for ages, however it may well be locked, the flat is by one set of the steps and they have been locked up the last couple of visits a lot of the time due to the weather. I need to walk off some of this food I’ve been eating lately 🙄MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7

Awake early today, why is it when you can have a lie in and it’s quiet you wake up really early 😆 I shall move into the living room and make a tea soon then do the December money shuffle and mortgage op and updates I think. It will be an expensive January as it’s best friends 50th and I will go over her birthday budget 😬 this starts with next Saturday as I and our friend have booked three of us theatre tickets and will then go for dinner afterwards. I’ve also ordered a box of envelopes with “a year of dates with my best mate” from Etsy, no idea what the dates will be but hopefully it’s fun….
Right back soon with a monthly update and then off our for an early walk around York, by far the best time of the day before all the people descend!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -

Thanks Jessy 😊
On our way back now, l didn’t want risk the traffic and queues for chargers like last time, it’s bound to be busy today. Total spend by dh will be around £90 for charging and breakfast on the way (Xmas money) and I’ve spent £29 on food in Lidl and £24.58 on everything else! This is way below usual, we had a few coffees out but I used meercat discounts and free vouchers I’d saved, we even have a packed breakfast and lunch for the way home, this is progress! Dh likes to get a couple of pasties usually.Plans for New Year’s Eve are like usual, avoid going out or seeing people 😆 go to bed early and watch Bond is a tradition, tomorrow we are going with some of the kids to watch Nosferato which I’ve been looking forward to for ages, the amount of kids depends on hangovers I would imagine, ds2 is a definite as he doesn’t drink now and loves his cinema 😁
Back later for the monthly/yearly update.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁8
