Did you call 111 Sugarbaby? I know someone that happened to and they had to go to hospital to get an injection, I think it was. They called an ambulance.
I deep conditioned my hair today, had a shower and then painted my finger nails red. I booked the checkup at the chiropodist for next week. I wore my orange short skirt out today, well it is Halloween.:)
I just went out to the charity shop and bought a few new things. I bought myself a John Lewis red jumper, a men's T-shirt for bed and three jewelry boxes. One was a really nice glass one with butterflies on it and the other two were smaller and purple and also shaped like butterflies. I will use the smaller ones for rings and earrings. I got a "silver" star necklace too. I got my husband a black gilet and a blue top.
I did see a box outside the shop with some celeb autobiographies but they weren't any I would be interested in. Gareth Southgate, Harry Rednapp, Robbie Williams, Peter Crouch... Not my type of thing at all!
We were going to go to the beach today but because of the engineering works this weekend my husband had to travel all over the place and get replacement buses so we will go later in the week when he is less tired. It looks like it might rain today anyway.4 -
Hello Ladies,
Thank you for your concern, Helen, Lily and Wednesday. Thankfully once all of the swelling had subsided, I could breathe a lot easier, and I stopped feeling scared.
No Wednesday, I did not call 111. My sister H who has severe allergies has made me super aware of what a severe allergic reaction looks like, so I immediately understood what was happening to me. I just had to try not to panic when I had such difficulty breathing and wait for the antihistamines to do what their designed to do. I presume that the person you are referring to had to have an epi-pen when they got to hospital.
It is only since I had Covid-19 and suffered with Long Covid that I am now getting severe allergic reactions to food items that have never ever given me a mild allergic reaction before. Pre-Covid, I only suffered from hay fever now and again and had very mild allergic reactions which I did not even need antihistamines for.5 -
@sugarbaby125 it’s good that you had antihistamines at home for when you needed them. it’s a good reminder for me to check our medicine cabinets and get some in.
Have you previously had a reaction to something? i’m sure someone on this thread had something similar, but maybe i’m imagining it.
Now that Halloween is out of the way, i can legitimately mention the ‘C’ word. i’m so behind on Xmas shopping, i’m normally much further ahead by this point, so i have a lot of catching up to do.
does anyone have any exciting plans?3 -
Hello Chanie, yes I always keep antihistamines at home and in my handbag whenever I leave home. I never know when I will get an allergic reaction, so I have to be prepared.
Yes, it was also me that had a severe allergic reaction to my favourite jumbo king prawns earlier this year.
I am just planning on having a joyful family Christmas this year.4 -
I fabbed my dog for the cold weather. I bought her a blue jumper as well.🥰

Awww, she looks so cute, Wednesday ☺️4

Is that her very own chair @Wednesday2000? 🤔5
-
It isn't her chair. I just asked her to jump up and she posed like that. She is so funny. I bought her pink as people always think she is a boy. Whenever I take her out I always hear "Aw, look at him" or "That black and white puppy is so cute", she isn't a boy or a puppy!😆
I have been listening to the new Taylor Swift album Midnights nonstop. She has just made history as her songs are in the whole of the top 10 in the US. Amazing.:)2025 GOALS

Had the second part of my root canal treatment this morning, I know it's essential fabbing but sooo glad it's over. Felt quite traumatised.Came home and crashed out on the sofa and slept it off. She's a very good dentist though, very gentle. No after pain at all. Will eat something not too taxing ......no steak tonight. 😂🤣.Torrential rain this afternoon and very dark all day.Still nothing from EA. Oh well, maybe no news is good news.6
