Well, our plans for the weekend have changed as my friend has tested positive for Covid so we are obviously not meeting with them now to see the band.
We are now going to drop off my dog at the kennel and then to go to the coast to look around a nature reserve and then to a restaurant for lunch and then go to another place for dessert afterwards.
I bought a book on Swedish death cleaning and another book about Denmark and I'm going to give them to my friend for her birthday. She is into Scandinavian culture and I'm hoping the decluttering book will give her some ideas about sorting out her house! I might read the death cleaning one before I give it to her to remind myself, lol. I was talking about this to my husband last night and saying that if he died I would still have all his vinyl and comics to dispose of. He might get rid of some of his vinyl before we move now. I really don't want to pay to move anything we don't need to our new house.
Anyway, I'm off to have a bath and then just put on clean pyjamas. I want to watch the finale of And Just Like That (the new Sex and the City show) later.
I did watch a really good film last night on Netflix. The Guilty starring Jake Gyllenhaal. I would really recommend that.
I think I might do a face pack, a pore strip and shave my legs in the bath. I did buy some coconut milk body lotion so I might use that too.:)6 -
Your great grandson is gorgeous sugarbaby - wishing him a very Happy 1st birthday 🥳
Been a bit behind on my fabbing lately - the only thing that has had a lot of time and money spent on it recently is my car - a bill of £1,600 😱
Started off very wet here this morning but is brightening up nicely now so will hang my washing out in a moment - it always smells so much nicer when dried outside.
Will be working tomorrow but hoping to get out for lunch somewhere nice on Sunday.
Have a Fab Friday and a good weekend all.6 -
Hi Your Great Grandson is beautiful Sugarbaby. Well I had my big 60 on Wednesday . I've been overwhelmed with cards, gifts and messages. I've been out Monday, Wed, Thurs (my Brother's birthday) and tomorrow. Unfortunately my Grandson and son in law cannot join our celebrations tomorrow has he tested positive last Sunday for covid, his test is still showing a strong positive. My Daugther is currently travelling up from down South. I finish work this Friday for half term and my lovely Daughters are taking me away (destination to be revealed)!

Hello Ladies, thank you for all the birthday wishes for my Great grandson.
Chanie my older daughter, Shylo's grandmother has been hard at work cooking for days for Shylo's 1st birthday party on Sunday. She has cooked barbecue spare ribs, fried chicken, jerk chicken, 3 types of chicken wings, a salmon dish and oxtail and she has not done cooking yet! I am getting myself ready, fabbing wise and the whole family is looking forward to the party.6 -
Shelia W you have really done well in terms of cards, gifts and celebrations so far for your 60th birthday. I hope you were able to bask in the love, care and thoughtfulness of your family and friends.4

Good Mornjng lovely ladies.Chanie - hope you are feeling better. Tummy bugs are horrible.Sukey Ouch to the car bill.😱
Sugar baby......hope you had a fab Party.Wednesday....,tried to find "Just Like That". Is it on Netflix. How's the house move going,Well first a little whinge......😂.Friday was, or rather should say, would have been my 39th wedding anniversary. That, coupled with a fibro flare up means I have been somewhat in the doldrums of late. Fabbing has been difficult but I did manage to give myself a facial yesterday. I've brought some magnesium flakes for bathing and I'm having a massage this morning so hopefully I should start feeling better soon. Maybe I've just overdone things with the decluttering and need to ease off for a bit.Anyway, no pity parties for one. The good news is my lighting circuit has now been fixed. Wahoo. Haven't had the bill yet. 🙏 🤞. No matter it had to be done,
So......it's onwards and upwards again. I have more or less finished the decluttering for now so, it's back on the fabbing wagon.Time for lashings of TLC.Have a great week, keeeeep fabbing.9 -

I just came onto the forum to send you a PM weirdly as I was watching a show on Amazon (Prime, I think) called Reacher based on the books/ Tom Cruise films and it has a very good looking blonde guy who is very tall and muscular and I know you like your Viking men so maybe you would like it.
It is quite mindless but very enjoyable. He gets his top off a lot too!
No idea how Tom Cruise got cast for the Jack Reacher role by the way as they keep mentioning the character's height as 6 foot 5!2025 GOALS

Tom Cruise is sooooo not Jack Reacher. Far too small, dainty and pretty. 😂My understanding is he produced the film (and maybe directed it). I think it was something of a vanity project. He's quite guilty of vanity projects, a shame because I think he cheapens himself and sells himself short because he is actually a good actor when he leaves his ego at the door. He was outstanding in Born On the 4th July where he played real life Vietnam veteran and activist Ron Kovic, even getting nominated for an Oscar, although I don't think he won it. Having said that I do quite like him in "The Last Samurai".....one of my favourite films. He does get that one right, although of course the fight sequences are a bit naff and do somewhat stretch incredulity.I'll definitely give Reacher a go, nearly did last night but ended up watching a rom com, "Failure to Launch" with another of my favourites, Matthew McConnachie. (He's superb in "Dallas Buyers Club"). Matthew has ditched his early "pretty boy" persona and is now quite a Hollywood heavyweight these days (not physically, in fact he often looks rather gaunt) and is building up quite a portfolio of serious work. Leonardo Di Caprio has also taken the same route. It's really time Cruise did the same but I think he's letting vanity and his ego get in the way. I think he's beginning to look rather foolish, trying to hold on to his youthful beauty, rather than ageing gracefully. His most recent cosmetic procedures with fillers was definitely a step too far. A lesson there for us all.I'm not against cosmetic procedures, not at all. I have had a few "Tweakments" (of the non surgical, non permanent variety) myself but I do think we need to be very careful. Hopefully Tom's overdone fillers will eventually dissolve and he will look more normal.I also watched some Ricky Gervais clips yesterday when he was compèring the Golden Globes. I know he's not everyones cup of tea but I have to say I do like him when he's roasting Hollywood Celebs and making fun of them. Some can take it and laugh at themselves, some are just too grandiose, pompous and "up themselves". It's very interesting to see their reactions, how some are gracious and charming and join in the fun, whilst some are plainly seething.Went for my massage. Not my usual therapist. It started well and then she suddenly felt ill. Apparently she is pregnant and suffering with quite severe nausea, so we called it a day. Poor girl.So I came home and dug out my diy electric massager. OK but not as good as the real thing.6

hi everyone, sadly my Grandson had to stay at home with his dad last weekend because he was still testing positive. My surprise trip ( I got a gold printed itinerary). We fly to Istanbul for 4 days, then on to Cappadocia for 3 days, staying in a cave hotel in a fairy chimney suite. We have a private tour guide there. Endless things booked, turkish evening with meal, wine tasting , pottery making and of course the hot air ballooning at sunrise. so excited
