Not strictly Swagbucks (apologies) but I've just completed my first non Swagbucks UserZoom survey for 5$.

May be a daft question but if I get paid does that just automatically translate into sterling?
It becomes a $ balance in your PayPal account but you can spent it normally. PayPal lets you know the rate

Just noticed "preferences" on the survey page where you can select how many SB are paid per minute - I've got 7 that pay less than 1SB/min so less than 60p/hour - worst is 0.27, actually 4SB for 15 mins so 16p/hour - needs to be around 20 per min for the equivalent of a reasonable £1 for 5 mins - none  of the 20 on offer to me are near even half that amount.
Tbh when I spotted that I assumed you had seen it yourself before as you've mentioned the rates per minute in the past.

There are some occasions I might think 'oh go on I only need 15sb to redeem' when I may take a poor payer, but as you say some of them are pitiful.
Hadn't noticed it before, sometimes there are 15 or 20 min ones that make the hourly rate easy to work out

True. I'm sadly lacking in many areas, mainly practical, but one thing I've been blessed with is pretty good arithmetic.

But it is a very useful tool if it prevents people wasting time on low payers.

Can I ask, did you do that on the intellizoom site ? I was thinking of signing up to try there, is it worth it ?

I did yes, well the rate is 5$ compared to 158sb for the exact same survey.

I've had one or two come through which require a PC - I do have one but laziness makes me refuse those for now.
As this was my first go (kindly directed by a fellow MSE forumite) I'll wait and see, it says payment may take up to 21 days, but to earn 5$ for probably 90 seconds mimimal effort can't be bad.

    Thanks for the reply.
I just did a userzoom on Swagbucks for 158sb, it was about searching using my location. It opened in their app and I had to allow them to record my screen. A bit wary but I did it.
Maybe the same one that you got $5 for 😃

Its not, but I have done that one twice haha. They seem to go in runs, bit like buses. So hopefully you may get it again 🤞

Free Lebara Sim does the job
Is it really free, or does it require topping up with money to actually receive calls/texts?
It's free. Just put the SIM in and it is automatically activated and you can receive texts. I think after 3 monhs without activity or top up the SIM is getting cancelled so you may want to order a new one in time and change the number again. You might be able to transfer but haven't tried that yet.

I once ordered 3 in a row, needed several individual Telegram accounts and used them to activate the accounts. Sim long gone, accounts still working  ;)
It arrived this morning but despite fitting in my phone it isn't recognised at all, probably because it's such an old phone. Well it was worth a try, thanks for the tip any way. :)

Have you tried switching the phone on and off? Any other phone available you could try?
