sira and hunter are the same firm in stoke on trent
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

It is not quite right. National Hunter is operated by Experian and SIRA is operated by Synectic Solutions. They are two different Fraud Prevention Agencies. Nowadays more and more lenders use SIRA rather than National  Hunter.

Just seeing how you are getting on with your nationwide DSAR?

HSBC have placed a “refer” about me and I am awaiting my DSAR to arrive from them which will hopefully outline why they made that decision.

This really is the worst thing to have ever happened to me with my financial stability and security, especially as my application and documents were 100% accurate and genuine.

I have received my DSAR from Nationwide but I can’t see any reason why they have put the marker. Some important information are hidden by highlighting so I could not read those notes. I am going ask them the reason for putting the marker. They have all my details correct in their system. I am still not sure why they have put the marker.

Have you raised a complaint with the financial ombudsman yet as this is only way to remove it if nationwide won’t, nationwide need to send you their final response, which would mean you would have had to have already lodged a complaint with them. This is needed before ombudsman taken your case.

I am so sorry this happened to you.

I can’t believe they haven’t given you a reason now that you a have asked for the DSAR and to black out part of your DSAR is just wrong, it is your data and I believe they can only do this if it is commercially sensitive information. They do have to reveal this to the ombudsman though who may not be able to reveal to you but will make an assessment as to whether it is relevant or accurate enough to have a merge placed on the register.

Hopefully nationwide remove this for you.

Lenders money, lenders criteria. There's no grounds for disclosing the precise reason behind the decline. How lenders ultimately make decisions is commercially sensitive.

Time is best spent poring over ones own credit files. Identifying potential areas that could be the cause. Along with ensuring that one is on the electoral register etc.

You can spend as much time as you like looking at your credit report and making sure electoral role is up to date etc but if you have one of these markers then you will be declined for almost 100% of all mortgages and most credit applications.

And requesting data as to why you have been accused of fraud should be completely transparent to the customer as without this information they are unable to challenge the marker.

A Dsar for information as to why you have been labelled as making a fraudulent application is not the same as a lenders commercially sensitive criteria for declining you. As you right a lender can decline without reason and/or be vague but if a lender has declined you and then recorded your application as fraudulent but refuses to say why it believes you have committed fraud is something that the financial ombudsman can take up. And even if the lender refuses to disclose to the customer, it will need to disclose to the financial ombudsman who will then decide if it had enough evidence to do what it has done, as there must be more than just a suspicion.

It can report inconsistency data on one of them if for instance your address details are different on one application to a previous one but sira for instance only has a refer marker for clear or refer and if you are refer, then life will become very difficult for you.

There have been many thousands of people who have been wrongly placed on these registers and had many aspects of theirs lives turned upside down by the consequences of it.

I have talked to some lenders who don't bother about fraud marker. There are lenders who can accept application with fraud marker if they are fully satisfied with areas such as affordability, employment and deposit. I am going to make another application with different lender. I have already lost the house. I am searching for a property now. I have also written to Nationwide to know the reason for the marker.
