    It says it’s with infinijen.co.uk
I also looked on the Way Back Machine

I completely understand that, but my thinking was that every company has to start somewhere. Big companies with big reputations were small unknowns once.
With all due respect and despite your repeated claims that you do your due diligence, you appear ripe for being ripped off.

The fact that you think you're doing some sort of due diligence (when you're not) as well as your desire to be "helpful" in getting a small company off the ground just make you the exact sort of sucker these scammers are after.

To be clear I'm not trying to score points and make you feel bad in some sort of "Me smart U dum" exercise, but I think you really need to understand that unless you change your way of thinking you're going to be scammed over and over again.
  • I bought from them a video card 3 weeks ago. Do you have a discord or something that I can contact you to discuss this. If this turns out be a scam, well it's a very !!!!!! good one. Also, the layout and whole schematic of the website seems to be same as this webste: thegameinc.com The link was given away from one of their fake reviews on one of the PS5's.
  • I have recently ordered an xbox series x from infinijen, their website looked good and their contact on the chatline confirmed I would receive the console by 6th January after dispatch on 30th December. when the site went off for "maintenance" I started to have concerns and contacted my bank (I paid using a credit card fortunately) and they advised me to wait until 6th January and if the item did not arrive then they would send me a claim form to get my credit card refunded. the site when it was running seemed very professional and using a credit card made me feel comfortable. I have no doubt now I have been scammed

Even if you paid by DEBIT CARD you still have chargeback rights for non receipt of goods. Which is exactly what they will be doing with your case.
    Life in the slow lane
  • I ordered a Playstation 5 on 12th December and was given a delivery date of on or before 6th Jan. As with other people I received email updates of the progress of the order until shipment date 30th Dec when the site disappeared. I am normally pretty savvy but got pulled into this one following a link from one of the sites that lists current availability at various stores/sellers. Did a quick google search on the company and couldn't see anything that started alarm bells. The fact that it cost £50 more than RRP only made it more believable for me. Thankfully I paid with Amex card so will wait till 6th Jan and then start a chargeback. As I had told everyone I was buying my son a Playstation for Xmas he now has multiple games given as presents which he cant play now until I can source another one.
  • if you read more carefully you will see I said CREDIT CARD and after discussions with the card company they are aware and will refund.

You may wish to reread the reply from @born_again a bit more carefully.

I think born_again was pointing out that where you had previously said:

there was no need to say "fortunately" as EVEN IF you had paid by debit card you would still have been able to get a chargeback from the card issuer.

born_again was not suggesting you had not used a credit card...

    A couple of things:

    1) Has anyone had any experience with infinijen.co.uk? I ordered an expensive computer from them, but the website was down for maintenance since about 20th December, and has since gone completely offline. The company is registered with Companies House under the name Plan-It-Cube, and both directors seem respected, as one is a CBE, and the other was a college principal. However, I’m obviously concerned since the website went offline. Also, the company assets are tiny.

    2) I paid for this through Klarna, and I’ve only paid the first part of three so far. Are they good to deal with if I have been conned? What would be the first thing to do? Of course, I will contact my bank, but Klarna seems less responsive.
I will also contact the police fraud department.
I ordered from Ifinijen on the 13th Dec 21 - I was told my item is due to ship 30th Dec 21 but as you are aware the website has disappeared, my emails are bouncing back and the phone number is a constant busy tone. I would talk to your bank immediately, they agreed with me that they appear to be an illegitimate company and so potentially scammers.
