Coxy - Thanks for getting me that charger. I can't believe your sis-in-law ignored your message as she was embarrassed. What did she intend doing if asked - pretend she'd been? Far more sense to apologise at that point, explain that you'd double booked and leave it that someone could potentially go in your place, than just let it go to waste! I agree give DH the budget and let him sort his side of the family out. I leave mine to sort his out but it's only his Dad now, it's my side that has the extended family in it though just parents/grandparents.
I've seen a multi pack (3??) of face packs in Savers so will get my Mum that next time I'm in there and put away towards her present. The Bodyshop had a 'It's Bloody Natural' pouch I picked up yesterday.

It was £4 with any purchase (I just bought a cheap bubble bar). Intend giving this to DD to put her pads in her workbag, Inside was a few items, another little bubble bar, shower gel, a small face pack and some body butter. I've snaffled the contents away to add to stockings and gifts at Xmas.

Agree with all comments that my SIL is odd - wouldn't think she's a 43 yo mother of 5!
I'm in the office today (I flex my day according to boss's needs) and did my weekly 'pop to HoF to see what else I can snaffle' exercise! Today I picked up a Star Wars egg cup and toast cutter set for DNephew (one of SIL's kids) for £7.19 reduced from £9. Just looked for the link on Amazon and found it for £5.99 - note to self to check things out before buying! Oh well, this will accompany the night light in the same theme, so that's him done apart from a small selection box. One less for DH to worry about. Feel a bit bad saying he should buy for his family as it's not his fault they are carp!

@Spendless is the bag filled? On the web link it looks like just the bag for £3.50 but you said it had items in it? I'm sneakily looking whilst at work lol!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings3

Oh that's strange though. I've just checked the link and no mention of the items! Tbh though I struggled to find a link of what I meant.
Maybe it's £3.50 from there just for the pouch and the price I paid for the goodies. Not sure if Bodyshop sells anything cheaper than the £1.50 I paid for the bath bubble. Maybe buy from the store or a rep if you're wanting the items inside not just the pouch.

My Mum has a set budget and gift criteria for what she buys my kids. Of her budget 50% is in cash, 25% on a 'larger' present and 25% in bits. As they've got older (they're 19 & 22) she's struggled with the bits that she often makes into a hamper. I told her DD could really do with items that would organise her bag better (especially when she's on a night out).
Today she's made a start having bought herself a load of ear-ring backs. She had more than enough for herself so she's split the pack and put them into a little tub5 -
I've found the link for the filled bag:
https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/gifts/bath-and-body-gifts/end-period-shame-gift/p/p003737
I've ordered one for DD plus some face wash and shower gel I know she uses. I got some body yoghurt for me which will save me a trip to the shop and this meant I qualified for free postage, a free gift (mini handcream) plus a mini face mask and headband.
Thanks for the spot @Spendless xxCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings4 -
Spendless I remember your DD suffers from Blepharitis, I suffer from blepharitis and I was gifted this great eye mask kit last year and it’s really helped my eyes. It’s called The Eye Doctor heat mask I’ve seen it a few times in tkmaxx reduced or it’s on Amazon. An idea maybe for your DD if she hasn’t got one already.
I have seen Sutton’s seeds do a gift tin full of grow your own seeds for £14.99, that I’m getting my grandad for Christmas. Might be a potential idea for you to get your dad? https://www.suttons.co.uk/gifts/by-recipient/for-her/suttons-1806-red-tin-plus-veg-lovers-seed-collection_MH-76356. The set comes with: Tomato Gardener's Delight, Lettuce Little Gem, Cucumber Burpless Tasty Green, Radish French Breakfast 3, Courgette Defender F1, Runner Bean Best of All, Carrot Autumn King 2 & Beetroot Rainbow Mix.
Thompson-Morgan also do a set too - Seed Collection Tin + 10 packets of National Trust Seeds for £19.99 https://www.thompson-morgan.com/p/seed-collection-tin-10-packets-of-national-trust-seeds/wkc8000TM

GTQ - Condolences about your Mum. Sorry I missed your post.
Coxy - I have the charger, thank you. How much did they charge you for the Bodyshop pouch because that link says £14.50?
Organising DD or at least attempting to is the way to go. Today she's lost her train ticket between using it on the tube to needing it on the train back home! I only gave her hers instead of keeping both because she spent yesterday moaning I didn't trust her to have it! Quite sick of the phrase 'I'm an adult' yeah according to the law, not a competence test! Fortunately they still let us travel - phew!
Treasurequeen - Thanks for that idea. I will certainly look, I pop into TK Maxx quite often. I can give you an amusing story. We've visited a couple of places down South this past week, due to drama school offers DD has. At one place we visited, when we went in the first pub she was chatted up by a bloke with an eye patch which he told her was due to blepharitis, she told him she was a fellow sufferer, he asked if she wanted to join him and his mates clubbing. She considered it but then changed her mind half an hour later, thinking she wanted to see more of the night life. He'd taken her Instagram though and the following day looking through his social media she spotted that he was a Dreamboy - and she'd turned him down hahahaha.

It sounds like everyone is still doing well with picking up bits and pieces for Christmas! I haven’t got anything lately, I’ve been so busy with half term and organising DS2’s birthday. We’ve just had a night away in Thetford Forest which was lovely and awful in equal measures with two kids and a dog in tow staying in the same room!
It’s been lovely seeing all of the jubilee celebrations, whether you love or hate the royal family it’s nice just to have an occasion that brings everyone together. We haven’t done much for the jubilee, we had a little tea party for the boys and their friends on Friday and we’re going to my in laws today but that’s about it. A nearby town was meant to be having a big street party today that we were going to go to for an hour or so but it’s looking like rain all day unfortunately.
It’s DS2’s big birthday party on Saturday so I’m busy getting organised for that then it’s his actual birthday the weekend after so need to get into gear.
CJ thanks for the heads up about the free space printables, I’ll take a look at those!
Treasurequeen that seeds gift tin looks great.
Spendless that is an amusing story about your DD! Still, at least she can always say she turned down a Dreamboy!!
