You've answered your own question me thinks.

If you are happy with the current version, don't upgrade. I understand 11 is very different to 10 in appearance.

Did you have a computer before Windows 10?

I asked my son the same question - he replied - Do I need it? I said not really so he said if W10 does what you want why bother.
So I will stick with Excel - W7 - W8.1 - W10 and W10 W11 compatible on my various laptops and desktops. And yes at various times I do use all of them. Got enough problems without adding to them.

Upgraded from 10 to 11 with no problems whatsoever....Took maybe a couple of days to work through the differences with the help of Google and YouTube....Simples.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

You are unlikely to encounter any issues during the upgrade, thousands of users are upgrading without any issues. I've been on it since May and it has worked perfectly.
You will benefit from improved security features which is probably the most important reason to upgrade, but the performance has been improved as well for a better end user experience.
The whole interface is much more pleasing to the eye, responsive and easier to organise and manage multiple tasks.
You can embrace the change now and adapt, learn and benefit from it, or wait 4 years and be dragged on to it when Windows 10 is no longer supported and find yourself even further behind the times.
After all, you've paid Microsoft for your operating system, make the most of that by using the best and latest they have on offer.

Well W10 is slightly broke - the security on W11 is better.0

The first rule of selling software is to make sure that it will run on the hardware that people own. Microsoft have failed.0
