I am looking to travel abroad shortly. I know I will be asked to provide evidence of my covid shots at the local bars and restaurants. I got myself registered onto the NHS Vaccine status app. However, all I got back was a scan code, that I imagine someone with the right software can scan and it will provide them the information about my vaccine status.

However, it doesn't provide me any document that states i have had both my jabs. Say if I were to go to a bar in the US - how would I provide them evidence of my vaccine status from an official source? I am sure the bar wont be able to read the scancode i have been given by the NHS
Why wont it? All the ones in Europe I have been to the last month have read it perfectly, as long as you use the travel one and not the Domestic one.

No i dont get an option that says view my covid records :(

Are you in England or Wales and using the NHS App and not the NHS Covid App?

If so, from the NHS App and after signing in, click on “NHS COVID Pass”, then “Travel”. In the green box which says “COVID-19 records found / show details”, click again. You should then see a QR code and beneath this scrolling down you will see your doses.  Drag left to see all doses.

My husband & I are pensioners & definitely not internet savvy re mobile phones. We’re booked to go to Turkey in May. I got us both COVID Pass letters before we had our boosters. I’ve now realised these letters expire after 30 days & apparently at the moment the letters don’t show boosters. Anyone got any experience that may help please?

You just ask for another one nearer the time, no drama.

Thanks Emma. I know I would have to get another letter but apparently they don’t show your boosters at the moment ( digital passes do ) . I don’t know if the two jabs are enough ?

Turkey could change its rules 5 times between now and May, as it stands they dont require proof of booster.

Thanks Emma. I didn’t know they don’t require proof of booster at the moment. Thanks for your help 👍

For your return flight back home, you will need to complete a passenger locator form online and include codes from tests you will have already bought. Have you someone that can help you with this?

Hi Silvercar. Thank  you so much for taking the time to reply to me. I could probably  complete an online form as I do have an iPad. As for the purchasing of tests I have no idea what will be happening regarding that! We do not go away until the beginning of May so hopefully I can get some information from jet two as to what exactly we have to do and I fully appreciate that things are changing all the time. Thank you again for your help

If you have an iPad then do you realise you can download the NHS App on to it?   It might appear a bit weird size wise but it will work and the QR codes and proof of vaccination that were discussed earlier can be seen.
