@moving_forward I'm having a big of brain fog - what is YNAB please? Getting all these little bits away does make a difference. Well done on realising how the next stage is going to work and getting rid of debt.
@Naomim when I sit down to pop in here at MSE and arrive here I go grab my phone just to see if anything can be done. Just checked on the app and moved 2 bits yesterday and not declared them. 1.54 was the auto save and then rounded down some more with 65p.

  • I realised that as I am paid Thurs I could use some of the money in the account to do a mammosive tidy of £137.00! I had fully funded Mar from Febs salary but realised it's silly having a small end of month buffer when we have debt and have savings now incase poop hits the fan.
    👏 well done.

Thursday pay day here too. Just had to spend £400 for my car insurance, but I’m still in the black but don’t have the same end of month figure I was hoping for. Thankfully lots of overtime will help bridge the gap…

  • This months tidy thief for me:
    a. My oven doesn’t get to temperature anymore, after having everything replaced on it during lockdown and another oven seal.
    b. Water company say I have a leak and after ‘the test’ it’s in my property or outside on my bit…nothing is dripping and the amount leaking is going up as the weeks have crept on
    c. Husband has an mot on Friday….

i have roughly £4 to sort the above out as that’s all that’s left in the bank account…..going to hope I can fix it with a box of cocopops like that bloke did with the potholes….cocopops seems like a better use of my money and a big bag of sand to go stick my head in 😆

Oh scrimp and save that's horrid. I'm sorry.
Have you done the dye in the loo cistern trick to see if it's leaking into the bowl?

@scrimpandsave oh no! £4 is not going to cut this. Home serve or others tend to offer cheap water insurance for the first 12 months. Otherwise it can a 4 figure sum when they need to dig into your property boundary. I remember many moons ago when water shortages were in place it turned out in my parents house they had 2 water supplies (they still do) so that could be an option to check if you have a cellar.
The oven could you purchase something else (pre loved included)  to help with the cost of not using the oven, giving you time to save up and spring is approaching too.
Fingers crossed too for DH be the cheapest mot this year
