    Since when? There has never been a requirement to register any software to a name.
    Windows will be activated to the machine not a person, the only restriction is that Windows is only used on that machine and no other, not on the person(s) using it.

    Please provide some sort of proof of this assertion as I think you have made this up.
    Perhaps also think about what happens if the person to whom the software is registered to passes away and then the machine needs rebuilding, Does one reregister it to the dead person ???

    No, the windows license key may be saved to your MS account if you use one when setting up your PC but the license will apply to the machine. What do you think happens to users of Windows that don't have MS accounts?
