Gaming PC return

UPDATE: Thanks for the reply everyone. After speaking to them a second time I left out my displeasure with the system and instead focused on it being "unwanted". They agreed to prpcess the return without mentioning the 30% fee. But I have to return it at my own cost. It weighs a ton so will no doubt be expensive. But even if I have to pay £50 (it should be a lot less than that), that's better than being £1,800 down.
Thanks everyone. I found your replies helpful.0 -
If your returning it yourself make sure to take out the appropriate insurance and make sure the courier will cover it.JohnSnow1995 said:UPDATE: Thanks for the reply everyone. Weight: 30kg
Value: £1,800
Without cover: £16
With cover: £110
I want to cry.

It's really important to send it with a courier that DOES carry PCs (lots will have small print saying they do not take them!) and it MUST be insured.JohnSnow1995 said:I just checked.

As already advised, what is it that is not meeting your expectations/requirements?
You mentioned about the motherboard you wanted not being available so you had to choose one of the other two. Is this the issue?
It will probably much easier to speak to them and get it working as you want it. At £110 return postage you could get quite an upgrade part for that!!
Or have you just changed your mind?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Have they definitely confirmed they will not charge a fee for usage as that is unusual and very generous of them? I’m also not sure what the difference is between your original change of mind return and the now ‘unwanted’ return, you did tell them it was used in your most recent call didn’t you?JohnSnow1995 said:UPDATE: Thanks for the reply everyone. Thanks everyone. I found your replies helpful. As above though, whatever courier you use make sure you read and then re read the t and cs , many couriers will not carry a PC and even if they do they often exclude damage in their insurance and just insure against loss.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I would recommend sending back via DPD as they are my courier of choice when sending the likes of PCs back1

Motherboard doesn't make a big difference, CPU, GPU and memory does.
Giving the 3070 costs between 900 and1k that took a big cunk of the build cost.
it's a good card so not sure why you think the performance was bad,
To get better than that you can expect to pay 1500 to 2k just for the better card.1 -
What exactly is wrong? The bits should be fine - FH5....are you comparing it to an XBOX x or something?0
