Hi
Last year I started my own company selling cakes and biscuits. The initial plan was to take it very seriously but soon after I got a job and it was put to the side.
In total, I probably made about £300 or so. I want to keep the company around etc. so plan on doing the accounts instead of filing dormancy or closing the account.

- Can I draw up my own accounts?
- Do I need the receipts? I have the transactions on my business account but no the physical receipts.
- Is there a guide or link someone can send to me showing the step by steps?

How are you set up - a limited company, sole trader, partnership? This needs to be known to give you advice.

Yes you can file your own accounts and it sounds like your business is very micro so straightforward in terms of transactions I imagine - you just need to have a spreadsheet first or bank statements of all the transactions and an understanding of the terms on a balance sheet and to make sure that this balances correctly.1
