What is the distance involved here? That is a big factor in the answer.

My wifi is usable about 30-35 metres from the router - about 10 metres of that is through the house and 2 brick walls and a further 25 metres down the garden - anything beyond that and it drops out. That is without any extenders, just a good quality wifi router will server that distance easily.
From the router to the furthest end of the summerhouse is probably 15m. The WiFi signal doesn't reach that far. The router I have is the one supplied by my broadband provider.
So when I'm 30-35 metres from the router the wifi is very slow, only getting 30mbps download and about 15mbps upload but it is rock solid with no disconnect and that is perfectly usable for most purposes and probably faster than some slow broadband connections but at the 15m mark in comparison with yourself I'm getting about 300mbps download and the max 38mbps upload.

I did most of my summer lockdown WFH in that 30-35m range with a laptop and phone - logged on to work, video calls etc and it was perfect.

For comparison, next to the router I get about 540mbps Wi-Fi download speed.

This reinforces why ISP supplied Wi-Fi routers are really poor when it comes to Wi-Fi.

You can invest in mesh or powerline or just get a good quality Wi-Fi router that covers the whole house and garden all in one.

This bad boy does the magic for me:

It has been around since Aug 2018 but still beats the pants off anything I've ever seen Wi-Fi wise. Newer models could be even better but I've not tried them, but I'll probably be upgrading to this one next year to get Wifi 6 / WPA3 / 2.5Gig ethernet and RGB:
