    Thanks ladies 😀!
Must admit, I was curious after reading this article, but I think intentionally challenging myself not to do something may be just as bad as trying to do something!

Interesting article and I like the idea of it, concentrating on what you have. Even if you don't do a year, even a month could be beneficial.
Funny because I've just set myself a little 2023 target of reading 2 books. I have so many and love reading, but have just got in the habit of putting the TV on.
I've been mortgage free once, so let's do it again!

Oooh, I love that article SC, thanks for sharing! That’s one reason why we’re camping for our holiday this year - we have all the stuff but haven’t done a proper camping holiday in ahem maybe 12 years!! Using what you have is so important….

  • I like the idea of rediscovering old passions instead of going out looking for new ones, I am definitely guilty of a bookshelf of unread books and a lot of Learn German material!

    Good article.

I recently found a load of pretty napkins from days when I regularly decoupages. Some unused metallic alcohol watercolour inks I was desperate to try etc etc etc. We definitely need to find a way to quench the thirst for the new with what we already have.

Good luck with your no goals challenge. While not wanting to be subversive, I think in a way your goal is 'self-compassion'.

I did briefly toy with the idea of having a "Year of selfishness" (as opposed to the year of selflessness I have just had), but realised straight away that was going to be a non-starter!

    Anyway....
In the spirit of going deeper, I have just paid for a year's Super Duolingo subscription 😮! I'm 354 days in and feeling a bit hamstrung by the free version, so hopefully this will accelerate my progress. It was not in the budget though!

Oh I liked that article - the satisfaction of completing something you originally set out to!

And in terms of goals for the year etc and reflecting I've heard good things about this free tool

...going to have a crack at it myself this afternoon.
