It's monthly review time 🥳!South_coast said:Money....
* Rustle up £1000 in "extra" money by 31/12/2023 - £61.64 in the pot so far 😀
2022, the year of happiness....
* Get out and explore somewhere new once a month - Yes, I went to the Town Hall for my flu jab instead of the boring old surgery, plus went to a local attraction that I've walked through the grounds of dozens of times, but never actually been in (neither had BF, and he's lived in the area his whole life). It was very good 👍!
* Try out a new recipe once a month - Yes, and I would make it again (even though it looks like vomit 🤣) 😀
* Try to be more upbeat and positive - I actually think I've done really well at this one this month, I was giving myself a little pat on the back the other day 😀
* Try and have a couple of little trips away, one UK, one Europe - UK trip taken, now researching the next one. Don't think I'll make it abroad this year now
Sundry....
* Write a will - No action taken, but a plan is coming together a bit more. Think I'm going to do one of those print-at-home ones for now with lifetime access to edit it, as there may be a need for a bit of tinkering over the next couple of yearsMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

First of the month round-up....
(Last month's percentages in brackets)
Pensions: 73.1% (77.1%) - Grateful thanks to the Govt for dropping the unit prices, so I can buy while "on sale" 🤣
ISA: 3.0% (3.0%) - Ditto
LISA: 23.2% (21.8%) - Thanks again to the Govt, for topping my recent contribution up by 25%
Cash for retirement: 0% (0%)
Cash for refurb: 5.8% (2.9%)
Observation #1: It would appear I have a lot to thank the Govt for this month 🤣!
Observation #2: This method of reporting appears to be drifting me back towards being a multiple-potter 🤔 I would find it too depressing to have to report zero progress towards The Future in a month if all the efforts were going towards a The Present boring goal like car maintenance, so instead I'm doing a bit of everything!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I was thinking your meal looked good until you said that annnnnnnd now I can't unsee it.
I love having multiple goals. You can see so many futures ahead, why stick to one?
Very glad you rate yourself highly this month, you're a little star.4 -
Awww, thank you 😍!
P.S. Sorry about the vomit comment 😳🤢Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

So, this week's money-saving/making actions were:
* 1 month's salary received from work 🤣!
* £6.32 received from Prolific
* 30p received in interest
* 20p received from Ziffit 🥳
* £2.50 of Nectar points cashed-in
* £10 voucher received from Shop & Scan
* Accepted my invitation to Shop & Scan's quarterly food diary. Two weeks of utter tedium await, but it's worth £20
* Used an Amazon gift card (earned from Shop & Scan) to buy an iTunes gift card to pay for my Apple Music subscription 😅 Went to Amazon via ZipZero and forwarded the email confirmation to Shoppix. When I get the email later on today to confirm that the subscription has renewed for another month, that will also be forwarded to Shoppix 😅😅
* Put some money into the ISA while everything is down - which put the balance back where it was this time last month 🤦♀️
That's not a bad result, considering I don't feel like I've done very much this week. I've been absolutely shattered, so it's been work-drive-eat-sleep all week and very little else!
In other news, the closure of the forum about savings has allowed me to post some rude replies to the irritating users/bots that have been annoying me for months without the fear of reprisals. Ha! Most gratifying 😀!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Things sound good overall with you.
Hope the economy settles soon but good to focus on your circle of influence

I've just been musing on what I want to put in my will (as one does on a Sunday afternoon 😳), which has prompted me to finally have a stab at calculating my net worth. If I add up all my savings pots - which I never do usually, as they are all ringfenced for different purposes (but clearly no-one would care if they were intended to be a holiday fund, for car maintenance or as an EF etc if I was dead!) - pensions, ISA, LISA, flat and car, I've got c£170k in assets to allocate 😱! No idea what is considered "normal", but that sounds like a LOT to me 😮! Not sure that helps me at all with the will though, just gives me more to think about....🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Well done! That's a really good amount! The will is something you can mull for a while. If you want to prioritise one-three things over all else then they need to have the most thought.
