OMG, what has gone on in the stock market this month 😱??? Everything up by crazy amounts - one pension had increased by almost £2k 😳!
Full figures later, but a snapshot in the meantime:

Right, full summary time 😀
First of the month round-up....- Cards minus savings: £3,404.45 (DOWN £3,102.75)
- Savings for retirement: £147,792.77 (UP £5,074.49)
- 7.88 years to go
I would LOVE to be at zero on the cards by this time next month, but no matter how much I stare at my spreadsheet, I just can't see that it's do-able. This is the problem with setting targets and tracking them so closely - merely achieving them (rather than beating them) is never sufficient 🙄! Oh well, 1 January it is!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

If I have another good month next month, then it looks like I'm on track to pass £100k in pensions and £150k for retirement overall - insanity!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Less than 8 years is absolutely phenomenal - well done you!

I enjoy watching your achivement, we were also in the position of having our pensions earn roughly 1.6x our actual wages for the month. Like you, I'm not a million miles off £100k in pensions, would love to get there before the AI market crash
No insider knowledge, bound to happen eventually... 3 -
Awww, thanks Ed 🩷 And I you too! I'm so thrilled you've got the new job, you won't know yourself in a few months' time!edinburgher said:I enjoy watching your achivementMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Not just the stock market though. If you're invested outside the UK, £1 is worth about 5 cents less than it was a month ago, which means your investments outside the UK look about 5% more valuable when you're pricing them in sterling.
Obviously it can go both ways, sterling is worth more than it was in January, but it helps to explain some of the more amplified swings we see from time to time.5
