I am considering a major ISA/LISA switcharound for better rates, the permutations of which are making me 🤯
Think I will sleep on it and see how I feel tomorrow 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

First of the month round-up....
- Cards minus savings: £19,570.00 (DOWN £3,145.11)
- Savings for retirement: £129,398.75 (UP £5,641.00 😳😳😳)
- 9.73 years to go
As alluded to in my last post, the savings are also on the move:- My niece's money is going from Plum 3.75% to Tembo 4.80% (no, I've never heard of them either, but they were on the MSE best-buy list 🤷♀️)
- My money is going from Chip 4.06% to Moneybox 4.60%
- The LISA is going from Moneybox 4.30% to Plum 4.75%
- "The other thing" may be going from Chip 4.06% to Trading 212 4.81% (still thinking on this one, my head was spinning a bit after getting all of the above underway yesterday 😅!)
As for the grocery spend tracking, let's just say that deciding to do so during the same month that I splashed the cash on theatre tickets and an associated hotel booking was probably not the most representative period 🤣! I ended up needing several weeks of austerity shopping (only two shops in the whole month passed the £10 mark 🤣), plus BF sent me home with leftovers on a couple of occasions (though it was a 5-week month, so maybe that balances it out a bit 🤔?) Anyway, the final total came in at £96.72. That includes all food, household and toiletries (but not anything I use on my face), though crucially doesn't include alcohol 😅! The tracking continues for now....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I didn't pester you about the savings transfers as I strongly expected a detailed list was incoming. You didn't disappoint 😜4 -

Money update 😀!
Looking at the app for my current pension, there is over £100 more being paid into it each month than I had calculated it to be (this is no doubt something to do with tax relief, though I feel I may live to 100 and still not fully understand the tax system where pensions are concerned 😳). Anyway, just because I don't understand it, it doesn't mean I should ignore the figures which are in front of me, so I have updated my spreadsheet. Now at 9.10 years to go 😀! Finally, my prediction that the "years to go" figure will fall quickly during 2025 is coming true - even if it is a result of my poor accounting 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
