LISA interest reduction also now announced. So in total, one rate reduction means I'm £105.85 worse off over the course of a year 😥
(And yes, I do realise the irony that this is a MF forum, so everyone else is no doubt celebrating the rate change 🙄! Curse you all 🤣!)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Moneybox. Was 5.0%, now 4.80%. So, well ahead of inflation and still a bit ahead of the base rate, but still irksome!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I'm right there with you as we're fixed for the next 5 years so was hoping to carry on with great savings rates to offset the pain a little bit.South_coast said:LISA interest reduction also now announced. So in total, one rate reduction means I'm £105.85 worse off over the course of a year 😥
