Returned from my few days up North. Weather mixed but the small people managed some beach time and crab catching. There are 38 posts to catch up on since I left. Decluttered small people back to their mother and I now have a mountain of washing to do. The things I left on clothes horse are still wet after 4 days. House is really damp I think following my leak. A person is coming Weds to discuss what we do next.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

more things listed for sale. The builder has been to see us. Next phase coming up. Much less work than the outside but even so not looking forward to it. He said removal of the gas fire and surround and Sitting room radiator being moved to a new wall in the next few weeks. Kitchen and bathroom after Christmas.Work continues on the culvert. The workers have been putting interesting finds on the wall. A Victorian Childs shoe the other day.Sounds like a lovely wedding Mrs SD. I looked up the rocks, what a picturesque venue. I have never been to Kent. I should make it my business to go!
Just about to have a burst of energy and clean the bedrooms. Still dust from putting the mirror and pictures up.
Roundtuit you are doing so well.Vx

5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday has been a bright but overcast day & I have done nothing but sort out the bag from our trip. I am also watching Spooks which is all about an energy crisis 😱 DH has been quite busy though - filled the bird feeders, fed the worms & the compost bin + arranged our train tickets to Bishop’s Stortford for Friday’s christening. He will pick them up tomorrow.
Back to cheerleading 😉
Now, now roundtuit - as long as you have clothes to wear & crockery etc for drinks & food you are winning 😉 What a great discovery to make re your glasses - better off than on when doing close work 👏 Now you are not only on a roll but you are picking up momentum 🤩 Shame about the broken bag but you have not let that stop you - serendipitous indeed - you are amazing not only decluttering but washing & washing up as well 👏 & now you have discovered a potential new hobby 🙂 So pleased to hear that the contents of the broken bag are proving less troublesome than you initially thought 🙂 At the rate you are going, the Room of Doom will soon be a haven of peace & tranquility 🙂 Due to the excellent work you are doing I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ I am also awarding you a medal 🏅 for the rather excellent “mmas” as the rather nice acronym for ‘my mates are somewhere’ Brought a big smile to my face 😁 I think you should add “My name is Roundtuit and I'm demolishing my hoard. And it feels soooo good 😁” to your signature settings - it will remind you of the absolutely excellent job you are doing not only decluttering but tidying & helping out the CS with so many donations 👏 No such thing as monopolising the thread roundtuit & absolutely no need to apologise 🙂 You are an inspiration 👏 I will be back to resume my cheerleading when I have investigated a few more words to describe how impressed I am at your level & dedication to decluttering 😊
Great work Wednesday2000 👏
Thanks Floss 👏 I made a ham fisted attempt at describing what a wonderful day I had at the wedding. It was one of those days that comes along when I wish that I was the reincarnation of Shakespeare 😊
Excellent work TC77 👏
bit_by_bit, lovely to see collaborative employers 🙂 Pleased to hear that the family situation has eased a little even it is only temporarily- it gives you a chance to gird your loins for the next round 😉 What a lovely Saturday - time spent with family & friends & a large amount of decluttering as well 👏
Well done Floss 👏 You have reminded me that I need to finish off my wardrobe declutter - sadly I think that I will have to forgo slow & steady for being brutal as the last 2 shelves & the hanging space are jam packed 😔
grandmanerd, I will come back later to cheerlead as I would like to give your post my full attention 🙂 (am currently a bit distracted 😔)
Good work florianatwobob 👏
Good work on the decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 Looking forward to hearing a little bit about your DS’s adventures if you don’t mind sharing 🤞
Sorry to hear about your DD1, TC77 but I am positive that with your support she will come out the other side 🙂 Well done on the decluttering 👏 and thank you for the timely reminder about lotions, potions & fresh food needing to be used in a timely fashion 👏
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏
vulpix, no shame in not being a demon declutterer when you are unwell. Sounds like you need to spend some time in the TLC Carriage to not only recover but also to recharge your batteries 🙂
What a good idea re Video tapes, Siebrie 🙂 It is always such a waste when new technologies supersede perfectly usable older technologies 🙁 Excellent decluttering - not only clearing your home but helping out others less fortunate 👏
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, rather a bleak view 😔 but at least you are in the correct place to receive support, encouragement & praise for each & every item decluttered or task completed. We will try very hard to bolster your confidence in your decluttering abilities 😊 Belated birthday wishes Deni 🎂
GrannyKate, sounds like you had a lovely break 😊 & that you have fully recharged your batteries 👏Keeping everything crossed that the problems resulting from the leak can be sorted efficiently, promptly & inexpensively🤞
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 & fingers crossed that the sales bring lots of lovely cash to mitigate the cost of the next round of building works 🤞Very interesting finds from the continuing work on the culvert 🤔 I do hope you get the chance to visit High Rocks 🤞

Big hugs and positive vibes @TC77 for you and DD.
Glad to hear you are feeling better @vulpix
Sounds like a lovely wedding @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
Had a rest day today after a busy weekend. I have gathered all my clothes together for sorting for a trip in a few weeks. I have only just found my summer clothes which I put away last summer.
Take care all.

Just got a message from DS saying he is heading back from the airport ! I definitely could have been more productive while he has been away but at least I got some rest. And the house is pretty clean, and tidy, washing & washing up caught up with & I'm reasonably up to date with my admin. So I shall count that as good enough.

Thank you for all the hugs, love and positive vibes for DD1 and me. Seems more positive today but whether she contacts uni and GP is beyond me but encouraging her...I know many of you know the stresses of this and similar and sadly too common.
Taking a magnetic board to DD1 so she can write reminders so will be 6 items as counting the magnets!
Found magnet (I try and take life one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once - seems quite apt at times!
@bit_by_bit a rest day sounds good, I remember someone saying to me remember we're human beings, not human doingsso to just be is important at times.
Mrs SD the wedding sounds lovely.
Inspired by all going on.
Love that we can pop into the TLC carriage and hop on and off when we need. Take care all x11 -

I had to pack up & put 95% of my newly separated life in storage (including the cat!) for 4 months after selling my old house & before moving into this one. I relocated to a small bedsit on a very busy road & the cat was boarding near Lytham St Annes not far from the ex-marital home.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

As I have been so lackadaisical in my decluttering efforts, I went upstairs & emptied the remaining 2 ‘rammed to the gunwales’ wardrobe shelves/cubbyholes. Nine clothing items have been removed & I will decide if they are nice enough to be donated or if they need to be ragged. The 2 shelves are now neat & tidy & only half full 🙂. I have also removed the party skirt & jacket from the hanging section ready for donation to the CS. Will count when sorted. Dinner was chicken, chips & beans. Wudupa.

Sorry to hear that illness is getting you down, grandmanerd 🙁 No wonder you are frustrated - 4 weeks of feeling too unwell to do the things you enjoy & still no indication of why 😔 However, you have still managed to complete a great deal of work - decluttering, sorting, rearranging & cleaning 👏 An excellent & very specific long term goal which you have broken down into sections 👏 In full agreement that the most important thing you can do is to continue taking care of your mental health & giving yourself plenty of TLC 😊
Wow roundtuit, the number of bags you have sorted out is phenomenal 👏 You have gone from being a sprinter to a middle distance decluttering 🤩 Great training for the marathon 😉 What a lovely surprise that the bag full of videos was actually a bag full of books 😊 Far easier to get books out of the house & hopefully DS will donate most of them to the CS rather than keep them 🤞 Thank you for sharing the situation you are dealing with - very hard work but you are coping admirably😊 Clear floor space in every room is a great achievement & you should be very proud of yourself 👏 Sometimes writing things down is the only way to remind yourself how far you have come 🥳
You have earned a rest day bit_by_bit 🙂 Hope you enjoy your trip 🤞
Shame about the cancellations EnergyShifter 🙁 but good for you making the most of the opportunity for some down time 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏 You must be so excited at DS’s return 😆 Hope you didn’t stay up too late 😉
Pleased to hear that DD1 seems a bit more positive today, TC77 😊 Fingers crossed that the magnetic board will be of assistance 🤞 “I remember someone saying to me remember we're human beings, not human doings
so to just be is important at times” - thanks for the reminder TC77 - I think we forget that we don’t have to be busy all the time 😉
Wow Floss - 95% in storage including the cat 😉 Hope the cat is back with you & enjoying life in a new home 🙂
